Purdue men's basketball B10 transformations continue - Luke Goode enters portal, Buckeye goes to Michigan

This is on the heels of Illinois getting former Arizona guard Kylan Boswell last week. Former Fletcher Loyer high school teammate Luke Goode has announced he'll be entering the transfer portal. Of course, it's not just Illinois reworking its roster.

Ohio State's Roddy Gayle entered the portal and decided to go up to his former school's mortal enemies and somehow solved the riddle of how to get into Michigan as a transfer.

There's a lot more Big Ten openings and players in the portal as we still wait for the other shoe to drop for Purdue. Will be working on getting a full breakdown this week as things make more sense and work themselves out.

Could only 4 Big Ten teams make the NCAA Tournament?

Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan St. are in right now! Ohio State, who I think is going to fold, is currently 5th in the conference with a Net of 46, 12 of its current 13 wins are Quad 3 & 4 and has SOS of 155 on Bracketolgists. They have already lost to IU, Michigan and Penn St.. Their best win in Conference is Minnesota at home? Iowa, the 6th rated Net of 49, has played a tough schedule, but 0-6 in Quad 1 games, but has a Quad 3 loss at home to Michigan. At 11-7 and 2 home losses, can't afford to have any more bad losses! Nebraska 7th in the Net, might have the best chance if they can hold serve at home, but can they win any road games(0-4BT)? Their Out-of-conf SOS is 321, OUCH! Northwestern is 8th in the Net at 78, but has a Quad 4 loss! Ouch! The problem with the Big Ten is you have about 4 teams that are consider as Quad 1 wins, so it will be real hard for these bubble teams to find quality wins. Ohio St. has to pick a win up at home against either Illinois or Purdue, but does not play either on the road, They already have been pounded at home bye Wisconsin and still have to play their. Iowa has to beat Illinois or Wisconsin at home, or Illinois on the road. Nebraska has to beat Wisconsin at home, but can they win on the road? Northwestern has to beat Illinois at home, or try to steal one at Purdue! When was the last time only 4 teams from the BT made the tournament?

Big Ten 3pt shooting next year

Our Boilers shot 40.4% from three last year, returning we are shooting 41.7% from 3.
Michigan has added Walters @ 39.4%, Donaldson @ 41%, and Jones @ 41.6%. Think they will shoot a lot 3's!
Oregon added Angel who shoots @ 44.7%. USC added Agbo who shoots it at 40.9%. Neither teams shoots many.
All the other teams in the BT seem to be going the wrong way, except Michigan. Iowa could better??
IU went from 32.8% to 35% with player exits, but added in Carlye @ 33.3% and Rice @ 29.6 %, they drop back down to 33.8%. They could improve with Goode @ 39.1 % to 34.8%, still very average.

Purdue men's basketball Off season questions: Who steps up for Purdue scoring?

Will TKR replace Edey's production in the post? How about the freshmen? An early look at Purdue's evolving offense that might look to the past to move forward.

Typical....."Don't cross that line"

Like Trump said, you just let the protesters win...

What good is a deadline (by definition, "dead" meaning, not resurrecting it) if you're going to give in and extend it to appease people?
Very, very typical liberal response to these protesters.
This is sort of emblematic of how international leadership views the entire Biden administration, knowing there's no or very few consequences for crossing that imaginary line in the sand. "Don't"....

Purdue recruiting Eugene Hilton

Wanted to give a quick update on four-star in-state wide receiver Eugene Hilton.

Barring a massive change, Hilton is not ending up in West Lafayette. Clemson, Wisconsin and Missouri are the main suitors for him. Georgia is still lingering as well, but that looks less likely at this point.

Biden’s Student Debt Cancellation Raises Inflation

"A key concern about the debt forgiveness program is its inflationary impact in an environment where inflation has been persistently elevated for over a year.

However, at the same time, this is also likely to be inflationary. Expectation of additional debt forgiveness programs evokes a moral hazard incentive for college students to take out more loans and for universities to increase tuition rates.1 To the extent that inflation is inherently persistent, any initial price level increase would also lead to sustained inflation over the near future. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates that the Fed will need to raise rates by an additional 50 to 75 basis points to counteract the Biden debt cancellation proposal.

Everyone wants to know why inflation is “stickier” than expect, it’s because Biden keeps handing out free candy

Tax $ for Migrants in Illinois.....our Broke country can't afford

$268 million in tax $ allocated in Illinois alone. Unaffordable boondoggle.

Plenty of money for Migrants and kickbacks for politicians later in their re-election efforts.

Now I was sure several lefty libs here said migrants didn't cost taxpayers a thing.

Apparently, citizen voters are a might testy. But in a one party state, politicians think they are free to run rough shod. Given Dems party first history, they are likely right, even if a few stray, plenty of party first Illinois citizens will re-elect the tax $ wasters.

Chicago City Council approves extra $70M for migrant care despite voter backlash

Assuming the top 3 seeds in the NCAA tournament are Purdue, UCONN, and Houston

The candidates for the 4th top seed look to be UNC, Tennessee, Marquette, Arizona, and Kansas with the others being likely 2's.

Which of those 5 do you think Purdue matches up best with? Which would you most want to avoid?

I realize we've beaten 3 of the 5 already this season. That said, I think Edey gives us an even bigger advantage when the opposition hasn't played against him before so I think I'd rather see UNC or Kansas in our bracket than any of the three we already beat. Between those 2, I'd prefer Kansas as we know Hunter Dickinson and can deal with him and their guards are less dynamic than RJ Davis.

Of the other 3, I think I'd least like to see Tennessee in our bracket. They have the players to make it hard on us in the paint and on the boards and it took a 27-point effort from Loyer to beat them in Maui if I remember correctly. Not sure I'd bank on us getting that in a rematch. Knecht seems to be getting better as the season has gone on as well. If we see them again, I'd prefer it not be until later.
