AND FROM NBC

Republican Tim Sheehy has dramatically increased his chances of winning the potentially crucial Montana Senate seat over Democratic incumbent Jon Tester, according to a poll
A Napolitan News survey, conducted by RMG Research, of 491 likely voters found that 50 percent would back Sheehy, compared to 43 percent who would support Tester in November. In a previous Napolitan survey conducted in August, Tester was ahead in the Montana Senate race by 5 points (49 percent to 44)
The outcome of the Senate race between Tester and Sheehy, along with the general election between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in November, could end up determining who controls the upper chamber next year.

Why each of these two deeply flawed candidates will lose this election....

Well they both can't lose? Someone's going to win this crapfest of 2 of the worse candidates in history. But let's look at what each are doing wrong.....

Trump
✅ Wastes resources on unproductive rallys where he preaches to the choir. These do nothing to capture the independent voter. Biggest error.
✅ Crazy messaging like cats, Hate for this person, or that person is a loser, etc....takes away from communicating outstanding policy....some of the best policy in history for middle class. Also big problem.
✅ Media stacked against him, make it beyond an unfair race. Not only was debate unfair, but media is handling K2 with kid gloves, with little follow up questions, unlike Trump and his VP. VP good @ dealing with it, T not so much.
✅. Media focus on issues not important to public to sway them away from their top issues. A great add could defeat this, haven't seen it yet.
✅. Wasted time in states he cannot win
✅ A lack of focus by T. Leads to rambling messaging with tangents. Independent voter dislikes this.
✅ Overseas election interference- both T & VP played right into it...with poor messaging.
✅ Lack great TV & internet marketing to promote message to needed independents in key states
✅ Trump very poor debater, perhaps maybe hurt him with a small # of independents?
✅ Might not make it to election day let alone Jan 21, 2025. If the focus was on Internet & TV this wouldn't be a problem.
✅ Doesn't seem to have honest brokers around him to lead him to what needs done. Bunch of yes guys or those in it for the $ only, not the win. Seems to ignore polls where he is down.

K2
🌀 Beyond a poor communicator, word salads, and repeats nonsensical items when asked direct questions.
🌀 Slow on getting policy out, thus independents know little about her
🌀 Flip flops = untrustworthy
🌀 Some of her policies make no sense to the problems @ hand
🌀 The Seinfeld Candidate....a campaign about nothing but laughs & giggles. - Joy doesn't pay the grocery bill for MC.
🌀 VP Choice does not appeal to independent voter, and show K2s extreme radical tendencies she is trying to hide.
🌀 Refuses to do needed interviews to capture independent voters
🌀 K1, K2, accents, silence.....No one knows who she is. Thus, people are left with her less than poor record of last 4 years
🌀 Reputation and mannor of a poor leader. Skipped out on responsibilities of office given, like the border, and 92% of her own staff hated her & left.
🌀. Bad reputation of last 4 years.....high tax rep of party, lead over 52% to think they will be taxed more. 58% see her as more of the same bad policy. Hasn't been able to communicate that away.
🌀 K2 comes off as phony & fake to middle Americans.

Voter turnout will determine the President imo in these 8 swing states. How many pissed off middle class come out for T vs how many marginal independent voters are tricked into thinking K2 is something she is not & come out for her when many times they don't even bother to vote.

Berg, Furst, Jacobsen, Burgess… top two to get a shot at playing time when TKR is the 4?

I think the first two to garner time will be Berg and Furst. Jacobsen will play as well due to ability to protect the rim. Not sure about Burgess as word coming out is he’s been very good thus far but will he come in off the bench or redshirt? Paint said likely a 8-9 man rotation with possibly 10 at most. That leaves the rest as scout team players and only playing at the end of big margin games.

No Love for Reggie on Purdue’s own site

Successive Monday morning checks of Purdue’s own individual rushing stats for Friday night’s Duck Walk showed “Ethon Cole” and later “Trey Smith” as the Purdue player who ran 11 times for a game-high 93 yards.

If Purdue can’t even get its own damned stats right for its own damned players -- and arguably its one and only highlight in a nationally televised fiasco -- what levels of pathetic performance and/or error-filled chaos are being allowed to dominate this athletic department?

Walters

I know a lot of people on here compare Walters to Hazell, which is justified given the record and performance to date. With that said, I find Coach Walters infinitely more likable, humble, and someone that I genuinely want to do well here.

I abandoned Hazell about 3 games into his tenure, but if Walters can hold this team and his recruiting class together after the abysmal start to this season, I think he deserves our support. His defense is showing clear improvement and he is now making obvious effort to repair the inept offense that has held him back since he got here. He also appears to be more disappointed than any of us with the results on the field, which tells me he cares about what is happening here vs. just cashing a check.

So far, I think his biggest mistake has been in trusting the wrong person with his Offense whilst having an unforgiving schedule. Although obvious self-preservation, I think pulling the trigger on Harrell is more than just a symbolic act and and actually gives Walters a chance to rebound. Hopefully he course corrected before it's too late.

Boiler up!

If you support Harris, read this....

These are the types of policies Harris fights and advocates for.
Other than the extreme far left, I don't know how any normal, rational adult could be OK with this.

TKR

How did Trey look at the scrimmage?
Did he show like the established star that Matt (and others) is talking him up to be. All Big 10, etc
Or is Matt doing what he often does, talking up a guy with potential, to boost his confidence? Trying to get him closer to the player he thinks he can be. And that the team NEEDS him to be?
I suspect a mix, but probably more of the latter.
What say you?

Why Trump is appealing to a higher % of Minorities

"No Tax on Overtime" is a policy that is appealing to all demographic groups. It's big-time with workers.

Moreover, it has opened the eyes of a higher than normal % of hard working middle class minority voters that normally don't vote GOP.

Likewise Trump's "No Tax on SS" is appealing to all demographic groups of seniors. It likewise has opened the eyes of minorities who normally don't vote GOP.

Both policies are why the Trump campaign is looking at record numbers of minorities considering voting GOP for the first time.....and both policies answers their question loudly........
"What will the Repubs do for me?"

Perspective

My son is a Freshman at IU’s Kelly School of Business. Been a Purdue fan his entire short life but has really been watching hoops for only about 8-10 years. I’ve been worried he may switch to becoming an IU fan - he says “dad they never win why would I?”. He’s literally has never seen them be any good. It’s good to look at programs in the present and not the ancient past! They are winning the offseason again however 😂
