As much as I do not wish to congratulate our rival you must give IU credit for being a completely transformed team under its new leadership. I watched the IU/Nebraska game and was very impressed with quality of play on both sides of the ball. Norm

They FINALLY got a coaching hire right. I know that imitation is the highest form of flattery. BUT, we need to imitate what they did for their football program at Purdue.
I always felt that Purdue missed the boat by not hiring Brock Spack when Tiller left. Brock was his choice and Brock would never have left us in the situation we have now.
So what do we do? There is time now to reach out to any number of coaches and see who is really the best fit. I don't mean just culture, but winning in the new era of football. We also want someone that will stay for the long haul. We don't need someone that is just looking for a stepping stone but looks at it like it is a destination job. They are out there, we just need to find them.
We also need to be realistic about what we need to spend to field a competitive team. Let's go!

Has won at an “underdog” school in the SEC
Still only 52 years old
Florida has gotten worse since firing him
Currently working in TV so can start immediately (can you be here Monday morning?)

Cons:
Got fired from last job
Good but not a great recruiter (but will that matter as much moving forward?)
Won’t have a staff to bring with him since he’s working in TV, will have to assemble one

Harris suggests changing the Supreme Court

With another bye week this weekend, at least we won't lose this weekend. Trying to look for a positive with this situation.

Normally, the bye weeks are good to get your best players completely healthy, but I don't think that really matters with this team.

One way that we could win this weekend is if Administration would do what they should have already done and let Walters go. However, Bobinski has remained very silent on the football team, maybe he is in hiding. Maybe, he is putting together a plan and will finally break his silence.

We are only about 7 weeks from the early signing period. If we don't get this started, I guess us fans can play the over/under how many recruits will actually sign with us during the early signing period with our trainwreck of a program.

Thank goodness the basketball season is starting.
