President Filibuster

All she could do was blame Trump.
She had no answers for any questions asked.
I would like someone to ask her, if she is so tough on crime why did she start a go fund me page to get the rioters and looters bailed out of jail?
She was intentionally 15 minutes late for the interview and had rehearsed her BS to last only 25 minutes.
She and her handlers were scared to death of a full 45 minute interview.

Late to an important TV interview? Hadn't heard that. Sounds like a scared little girl.

As far as blaming President Trump....she is the one in charge these last 4 years....not Trump. That's pretty lame.

Gicarri Harris

There’s talk on the other board about how good Harris is already. Brian has gone as far as to say he will probably start and that he is a great defender, possibly one of the best we have seen at Purdue.
Some people (IU fans) are saying it’s a bad sign that a frosh is starting over Heide/Colvin but Brian has explained it as Painter wanting a second ball handler next to Smith and not a knock on the two sophomores.

My question is, for you, is it a bad sign or is it a good sign that a frosh is possibly winning a starters role out of the gate?

For me it’s a good sign. We are incredibly deep with talent and we all know that Heide and Colvin are solid players. It’s going to be tough for Painter to manage the minutes with this much talent. Harris being BigDogs son makes this turn of events even more reasonable to me. We knew he was good but to see him win a starters spot right out of the gate is a very good sign that we indeed have a ton of talent on this years team.
Tbh, I trust painter and his evaluation for what’s best. But also, it doesn’t matter who starts. If Harris is ready and better than those two, then I’d assume that means he’s pretty damn good. If Colvin or Heide play more mins than Harris, then what? Haha. I’m excited to see what the team looks like and go from there.

Also, IU fans don’t really have anything to stand on as they told us X was a better PG than Braden and that Cupps was going to be better than Braden as well. We were also told ware and Reneau were going to give the team trouble and they wouldn’t be able to guard them. So I don’t take their evaluation of basketball talent into consideration, as they have been pretty poor at it for quite some time.

Purdue 7th in CBS Sports ranking of 101 teams

And some nice words:

7. Purdue

Lose the best player in school history and stay a top-10 team? That's what great culture and elite coaching will do for you. That's what Purdue has. The only school to win more games over the past three years than Purdue is the one I have ranked at No. 2. The Big Ten — now a ridiculous, nobody-asked-for-this 18-school union — feels as hodgepodge as ever. But I'll take the Boilermakers to emerge at the top again. Three starters are back, the most important being Braden Smith, who could become a top-three point guard if this offense regenerates properly, Doctor Who-style, without Zach Edey. Purdue, in total, has 46% of its scoring back from last season's team that made it to the national championship. Look for Trey Kaufman-Renn to be THE breakout player in the Big Ten. In two seasons he's averaged 4.5 and 6.4 points. That number should double, minimally. Caleb Furst is also likely to bust from his shell.

But this is Purdue, so let's talk centers. Who are the new towers in play? There's Daniel Jacobsen (7-4) and Will Berg (7-2). The Jesse Pinkman memes about Painter continually recruiting alien-sized players will continue apace once the games get going. Purdue has rostered a 7-footer 13 years in a row which, for all we know, is an all-time NCAA record. (If you know of a school that's had a 7-footer for 14 straight seasons, please find me.)

Here's an intriguing note from Purdue: The team brings back 60% of its starting minutes from a season ago. Why does that matter? This is the 11th time under Painter that Purdue has brought back that much year-over-year. The eight most recent times Purdue brought back "at least 110 starts" from the year before, Purdue made the Sweet 16 in six of those seasons. Its winning percentage in those eight seasons: .789. That's really, really good. And given the growth of Smith and Fletcher Loyer, it should signal stability in the foggiest power conference in college basketball. Purdue has 113 league wins the past eight seasons. No high-major team claims more. Its Big Ten reign will continue by winning a fifth conference title in a nine-year span.

Good players Purdue has recruited, developed and retained by class

r was awesome before he came to Purdue. As were many other 4/5 star QBs who came to Purdue. Were they overhyped? Or just badly coached?
I've always wondered what happened to those QBs with good ratings that came to Purdue and then were never heard from again. Same for some promising running backs. Excellent high school statistics and then never seen again. You'd think that more of them would be coached up and then be seen on the field. Maybe they would have been better to have gone to such a football powerhouse as Milton College (I believe it's now closed) in Wisconsin in Wolegib's former backyard and then have become a QB starter in the NFL.

Purdue picked to win Big Ten

This was exactly my point in our earlier discussion. NIL money can only bring so many recruits to the table.

If you lack any success, culture or development of players. They will find what avenue fits their own agenda and sometimes it's just not about the money. We can only speculate but there are reasons why kids choose other programs vs getting the big pay-day.
Right but the IU fan base insists that their “brand” and NIL will be able to attract the highest of recruits and…it’s not. You can say well look at their transfer portal guys..and yeah money is the number 1 factor that got them to IU—nothing wrong with that since that’s what is todays world with college sports, but to still say the IU brand is thought of highly by recruits and transfers is…something 😂

President Filibuster

I strongly dislike hearing either of these 2 Pres. candidates talk for any length of time.

But, K2 will be President Filibuster IF elected. I tried to watch some of this Fox news interview this AM. But K2's answers were just long winded off topic Filibusters. Unwatchable.

Not sure what her goal was there with FOX, but I can't imagine anything she said catching the attention of any undecided, or rare voter the late deciders....which is more common.

I mean Trump is long winded at answering questions, but at least he gets to the topic.

This K2 lady is atrocious, every answer just an unrelated rant to the actual question.

JDV is the only one of these 4 clowns that has any communication ability. He's a dude I can listen to. Gets to the point. Calm. Pivots biased questions. Master communicator. Likely why the Trump campaign got a little bump after the VP debate.

Anyway, if you are up for torture, here you go......

TV schedule out

Someone much smarter than me needs to come up with a service in which I can have a single app so I just get the Purdue games. I'd pay $20-30/month for that.
This would be nice. What does everyone else typically use to watch games? I’m considering canceling YouTube TV and am looking for alternatives. I don’t mind paying for Peacock for a few months, but what about the games on BTN and Fox?

Reasons to believe.....

Bama is not as great as their name. They almost and should have lost last week as well

As for Illinois, this was a game many people predicted at the beginning of the year that Purdue would win. Illinois is in the same category as IU. Basically they have a nice record because of their easy schedule which included Purdue. And despite the success of the offense, the defense still gave up 50+ points to a team that was missing its leading rusher. Wisconsin also played Purdue without its leading rusher as well.

It’s nice to see some optimism. But let’s have a reality check. Purdue lost to Illinois. They didn’t win. They played well enough to lose. Oregon actually has a defense. And nobody other than Purdue homers thinks this game will be close.
No one is calling for the upset and most thing UO covers, but, weird shit happens in Ross Ade in night games against #2 ranked teams.
In these games, you need a few breaks, need a few weird plays to go your way, you need a couple guys to play above their talent. It's happened before.
I'm assuming you're putting a bunch of $ on UO to cover?

Good players Purdue has recruited, developed and retained by class

2020
Jenkins
Hartwig

2021
Mbow
Mockobee

2022
Klare
Omonode

Six guys in your 5th year, senior and junior classes. Tell me where I’m wrong

Wanna look at the 03 team? Again, if a much better coach comes here next year, that 2021 and 2022 class is still going to be a problem.
Kane was 2020 and graduated. I’d add Moussa to 2021. Many in 2022 are redshirt sophomores, a bit too early for jury there. Strickland and some of the OL may develop still.

Purdue picked to win Big Ten

We are starting to see the “brand” doesn’t have that much pull, even if NIL donors can bring $$$ to the table. Rumor is IU had the highest offer to Reibe, but he still went to UConn. Rumors of exact same thing goin to happen with Mullins.
