It is starting to look that way. I have a hunch they will smoke us with Wisconsin-like numbers. Other than OSU, their remaining schedule looks winnable. Michigan is not impressive this year. Indinia looks like a one-loss team at this point.

My prediction is that Oregon and Penn State will go undefeated and play in the championship. Indinia is 3rd with one loss (OSU), OSU finishes with 2 losses (UO and PSU).

They had 3 transfers not from jmu who had better production on higher snaps before getting to IU than anyone we have ever brought in. Just this past offseason. Cignetti is not a genius dude

You may be right, but you’d have to show me what media spend or other dollars outside of donors are coming in relative to other top schools. No one is arguing that IU doesn’t have big dollar donors who give generously.

I’d legitimately be interested to understand what other money you’re referring to and what is the data that supports that view. Again, I’m not saying that you’re wrong just that I’m unaware.

Cignetti just told dudes who didn't want to buy in to leave. Dudes who wanted that soft Tom Allen coaching. Brought in some guys like Rourke, Sarratt and Fisher who were really good at Ohio and JMU. I don't think Indiana is anywhere near the level of Ohio State or Oregon or Penn State but they seem to be on the same level right now as at least Michigan for the moment.

So in your mind, brand is defined by how much money alumni contribute to the program? That would be a new definition that I had not heard.

I hate the ‘do more with less’ philosophy. These kids are all high level athletes. It’s the coaches job to scheme a plan to neutralize the other teams advantages, which is usually just speed.
I watched a high school sophomore QB last night that will be a major high level P5 dual threat. But, he’ll go SEC.

As we have seen in the past, offense alone won't give you playing time in Painter's system. If he is behind on defense, it may be awhile before he sees significant time on the floor because Painter can bring him along slowly. Purdue has the luxury of being deep up front, so they aren't in a position where they have to force anything. Just be ready by the 2nd half of the B1G season.

For the record I am including a bowl game, this is an absolutely brutal schedule. Though, between our idiotic non con scheduling and no conference divisions, these types of schedules are going to be a lot more common.
