I'd say this is probably a too-assumptive statement. Simply because he's a defensive guy means he's "lost" on offense? I think this takes this whole 'we-need-an-offensive-guy-like-Tiller-or-Brohm' a bit over the edge.

Odom just seems like the wrong pick. I just don't see our completely inept offense under Harrell and walters so we jump to another defensive coach. Not buying it. I don't hate the hire maybe even think it would be a decent hire, IF we didn't have one of the absolute worst offensive of the last quarter century.

Big void at RB for them. Ewers is good not great. 2 read QB type and Texas puts him in a position to do that. Issue is UGA could key in on pass both games and shut them down. If they had a better RB they would be the best team in CFb hands down. Good D. Good O but O not good enough running the ball to be elite.

It sounds like you've never coached but I'm telling you that a team can't stand around against a press. There can be no strolling on offense. It requires an attack mode with short quick passes and players going full speed. It will also be determined by whether the opponent is playing a man to man press or a zone press.
The Longhorns dominated the first half between the 20's, but they failed to take advantage, including some killer penalties, and it came back to bite them big time. Texas is capable of beating any team, but they also have a tendency to go through lapses and have won a few close games the last couple of seasons. Georgia's DL has given them big problems in both games. Sarkisian is a good fit there, IMO.
That’s just it. UNLV is successful because of their OC, Brennan Marion. Not because of Odom. If Marion doesn’t come (which is 100% possible) or doesn’t stay for long, we have another career Defensive Coach…
