Baldwin is a beast. He had 10A last night. And we know how good he defends. PSU did well to keep him in the fold. Yes that will be a fun individual match up. Team wise likely not as good.

Well to be fair amount of credit to Braden Smith and CMP.

Got to have the players and that is a credit to CMP

Take Cox for example. CMP after Perry....sees this kid instead and boom.... another Carsen Edwards like Boiler in the making.

Take TKR as another example. How many top 50's have we got from the iu back yard. Yet CMP did it.

Loyer great player that had a lot of choices. Yet CMP gets him here.

And Smith.....CMP knew what he saw before others and now is mentioned in with Keller and Parkinson as one of the Greats.

So yes, I am sure PJT is good and will have his day. We are lucky to have him. But CMP is the genius behind the whole deal.

Starting to see some college teams hiring coordinators from NFL. Some brilliant nfl minds that we can bring here if we are going to keep Walters. The shanahan, mcvay, lafleuer.

Maybe someone like Luke Getsy? I don’t blame him for the bears woes they just fired their replacement midway thru season. He just didn’t have the right type of QB for his system. At Oakland I mean Vegas he was also the scapegoat.

Fire Painter!!

I was extremely impressed with the play of Alabama just kept getting it inside. Ultra quick players with hesitation moves that embarrass defenders. Then started to hit 3s. Size to defend inside. Rebound the ball extremely well.

That AL team is no joke. Nor was their #2 rating. Sure they still need to gel with their new guys.....but I think we beat a FF team last night.

CMP though.....how fortunate we are to be in the presence of greatness.

Haha no. Just a running joke from last year when ppl said his body language wasn’t good. He is taking pride in his defense this year, you could see it last night, and he is a HUGE asset to the team and is only going to get better.

*Said it because at the time I was not seeing the TKR I knew he could be....and was down on him at the time on both sides of the ball.
*Said it because of rebounding.
*Said it because of our interior D.

It looks like the first two are trending upwards.....and the last one they still have to work on.

So happy to be wrong on the 20-11 call. Not sure what to think now until we see consistent production from TKR......I know he can do it. But has to be great more often. So I know it won't be 20-11. And happy to admit being wrong on that call.

Then we get to our closing lineup and Berg is not there (which is fine) and we go small(er).

Hopefully, he continues to improve and understand his role to allow the team to be really successful.

This. I thought the rotation was perfect. And I thought berg did fine. game was very physical and then berg helped get some fouls called and it loosened it up for us offensively. Then we switched to small ball and were able to take off.

But, completely agree. Also, we wouldn't even need someone like Cliff, just some middle of the pack transfer center I think would make a huge difference and set us up better for a run. And why couldn't Purdue pitch that center?

The only thing I can think of is he was all in on the two-year plan and wanted to give Jacobsen this year to develop for a run next year. But man, that's such a big risk and feels like a waste of a year with Braden and Fletch, not even mentioning the injury to Jacobsen.
