Can’t line up correctly

I don’t know what to say. Couldn’t watch live so had to watch it late. Difficult to watch. Makes me sad that we have wasted 2 years of Mock, Gus, Klare, and Thieneman’s college career. This is the worst Purdue team I have ever seen and shockingly from a star perspective this team is probably twice as talented as the Hazel teams which had 3 years of dead last recruiting in the Big Ten.

I hope we somehow turn this thing around in short order. I really don’t want to watch another 2 - 4 years of a team playing this bad.

What happens to our program, if Walters does not end up getting let go this year?

For the last two weeks, the announcers for both telecasts have talked about spending time and talking with Walters leading up to those games. Each set of announcers have talked about progress and getting set up for next year.

This could be a lot of BS, but I am really wondering if administrators are really considering keeping Walters around for another year. You look at how we are selling out almost every home game. I am not sure if the BOT really care about our football program.

I know that they might be waiting until the end of the year, but why not do it now if you are going to do it. National signing day is December 9th. Why not show potential recruits that we are going to correct this unless we are not going to correct this. I really hope I am wrong, but all of this silence gives me a bad feeling of us not pulling the trigger and staying status quo.
If it’s not done after MSU, it’s not gunna be done.

Stanford 38 - L Ville 35

Whether I'd take him back or not is a hypothetical I don't indulge. I will say I wish he hadn't left but he did and his family couldn't get themselves to Louisville fast enough. They would never come back here anyway. Both sides would have to swallow way too much pride even if the stars otherwise aligned.
Familiar loss today by them.

Beat a ranked team on the road then shit the bed vs a team you should never lose to.

Stanford 38 - L Ville 35

Have to admit I enjoyed seeing it. But he's gone and never coming back even if things don't work out at Louisville.
I’d take him in a heartbeat. He’s still got a minimum of 2 years there though and they likely finish with 7-8 wins.

We’d love to be there right now instead of circling the toilet bowl.

Time to move on though and hopefully select our next coach here in a few weeks!

When he left, I predicted Brohm would average going 8-3 at Louisville. Over the course of 10 years, going 80-30 and to a bowl game every year would make most fans happy Iowa fans are happy with their coach and his success. My guess is most Purdue fans would be happy if their coach averaged 8 win for 10 years.
But there are always fans who are never happy and then they realize how good things actually were. Look at Nebraska. Petrino just wasn’t good enough. Look at Auburn! Look at Texas A&M.

Some fans are never happy. They don’t want to give any of their money to support the program. They just want to complain.

Over the years I’ve donated my money to PMO and cancer research. They are both doing very well. Instead of watching a boring football game, maybe you should check out an exciting PMO Christmas show. The good seats were sold out a long time ago. There may be a few cheap seats in the balcony left. Intelligent people know a good thing when they see it. And those students do not demand NIL money! And they devote just as much of their time as athletes do to present their performance!

See you there!

Beech beech beech! That all some of you ever want to do! Life is good. Why don’t you start enjoying it? Take in the Feast of the hunter’s moon! Visit the Indy zoo. There is more to life than Purdue football!
I read your post and feel dumber already and regret it. I’m not sure what your rambling point is.

I love the pmo Christmas show. My tickets don’t affect my support of Purdue athletics they are mutually exclusive. And you saying they devote just as much as athletes is absolutely insane (my girlfriend in college was in u-choir, it really wasn’t that much time).

Names to consider for our next football coach?

I agree Hud. For the past couple weeks I've been trying to recall a situation where a coach was retained but his entire staff was fired...... So when does a head coach get a mulligan for hiring the wrong staff????
And if they’re all given 2-3 year contracts, that probably makes it more expensive to fire Walters a year from now than after this season.

Better AD. Burke or Bobinski?

There is more to being an AD than winning football games. Did Burke ever have a complete season of sold out football games? Or Olympic athletes? Or have a final 4 basketball team? Or a baseball team in the college World Series? Or have as many facilty renovations? Or help negotiate the BIG10 network contract and payout?

There is soooooooo much more to being an AD than just winning football games.

I thought you people were more intelligent than your posts reflect. Do you even know the responsibilities of an AD?

Or are you just a drunk, angry mob after another loss? You knew before the game Purdue had no chance of winning didn’t you? You knew before the game Purdue was going to get blown out didn’t you? So why are you so mad? The bricks are still red. Bruno’s has reopened! Life is good!

The people actually paid to know football predicted Purdue to finish last in the Big10 this year. Maybe in the future you will start believing the people who are objective and paid to know what they are talking about rather than your homer friends who post on this board!

I still root for Purdue. But I’m also intelligent and realistic. They suk this year. I knew that before the season started. I thought they had a chance of winning 4-6 games. They came close in two losses. That would have been 3 wins with msu and IU left on the schedule. That was a pretty close prediction.

Yet I know nothing.
“Yet I know nothing“

Got one thing correct…

Fire fire fire

All you people ever can’t do is fire the person in charge! Is that how your company you work for works? Fire your boss or your manager or your ceo when you are the ones not doing your job to make your business more successful!

How many of you have actually tried to help the team of the coaches and actually talked to coaches to find out what their issues are? How many of you have spent any time talking to the players?

How many of you have actually contributed more than $10,00 to the team? If you have contributed more than $1 million then yes, you can request the coach be replaced. But if all you’ve done is buy some tickets and beer, Then you have no business yelling Fire! You’re just like those who yelled hang Pence. Because you didn’t get your way!

You realize if Purdue fires Walters the money for his buyout and new coach will come from the money that’s earmarked for the NIL. So get a new coach and then have less money to buy your athletes. You also realize that if Purdue buys out their coach, that money is going to come from somewhere. And basically it’s going to come from you in higher ticket prices and higher beer and hot dog prices.

So unless you want to fork over $9 million, I suggest you stop your complaining.
Dude - follow up on your promise from last spring and leave this board.
It’ll save you a ton of time reposting the same garbage over and over and over again.
You’ll have more time to endlessly fawn over your son’s coaching prowess.

PJ and the offense

I said, "Well, that gives Painter something to work on in practice." With all of the time they had to set something up while the refs were checking the clock, I expected better.
not sure what happened, but if you recall it was Fletch that passed the ball and it was Fletch last year that asked Matt to reverse and let Fletch make that pass last year that was successful (video on it somewhere). I can't recall how tall the guy was defending him the other night on that pass that was waaaaaaay short and low, but having Myles come off a back screen was a nice call IMO. The one in the video is a bit too low as well, but Matt has put Fletch into positions of critical passing and feeding the post before
