Mullen?

He’s an abhorrent recruiter. Truly awful. Chases stars and not fit. It’s taken Napier 3 years to flush the stink from the UF program.

He’s an upgrade from Walters but I’m not sure he’s a guy that is special enough to lead us to any marked success. He’s not the same coach he was 8-10 years ago

Mullen?

I think he would have been a great hire after brohm. He won at miss state. The timing is the issue. He would need to build a staff, get back in the recruiting game, i dont know how much of the nil world he knows about, etc. If he was the guy they should have fired walters at the bye and got him on board then. We really need someone who can bring their staff and cherry pick players to get off to a quick start imo. Hes a very good coach imo just not now.
I think he'd be a good hire, want Silverfield, but probably wind up w/ someone like Chryst ( meh)

Why did they wait till after the last game to stop this train wreck?

It's truly amazing how stupid Purdue seems to be! They owe a lousy coach, someone who should not have been hired in the first place, 9 million dollars, for ruining their program. Talk about a waste of money. One has to give Walters credit though. He did a lousy job and now gets to sit back and enjoy a 9 million dollar for so doing! Hopefully, Purdue will be smart enough to write a better contract for their next hire, but I doubt it!
The contract wasn't the problem. The person impersonating as coach was the problem...

How attractive is the Purdue job right now?

It’s not attractive at all. All we can do is write a huge check and promise all the resources in the world. If we pay enough, $8 mil+ per year then there should be some good coaches that want to prove they can build a good team in the big ten.

The hardest part imo is showing a serious about success coach that we will get serious about football money for NIL.

Go back to your IU basketball team. Or are you a bandwagon IU football fan now as well?

Mullen?

Not completely against it, but seems like a retread at this point. Not sure how much motivation he has.

Colvin and Hiede

really interesting coaching move by Paint to go with this small ball lineup: 6'9, 6'6, 6'5, 6'4, 5'11. It must make Painter feel weird not having a 7 footer on the floor.
But, putting Heide and Colvin has seemed to make an impact and surprisingly, we're winning the RB battles. Of course, some of this has to do with TKR playing like a man possessed.

Linda McMahon: So being co-CEO of a wrastling federation qualifies you for Secretary of Education

The main gist of the post was to point the ridiculousness of the selection pick. However, as non-qualified as McMahon appears to be, there are a lot folks more qualified that should have been selected including black educators. The woman is not even an educator in any form.

You tell me, is Linda McMahon qualified to be Secretary of Education?
What does the Dept of Education do to teach our kids, B? Our education system has been broken for decades. Kids can no longer do the three R’s at a high school level yet we are teaching them about LGTBQ. The D of E is nothing more than a support function for teacher’s unions.

We're Going To Lose Key Players

Honestly, didn't know much about him. Would like to see some tape. I was at the USC/Clemson game yesterday and the USC QB (who might win the Heisman) is incredible. Big, fast, strong, incredibly difficult to contain and get down. Anytime the pass protection broke down, he made something happen.
When our pass protect breaks down, seems like our QBs fold.

Have you looked at the freshman Davila kid? He looked solid in the spring game - big, fast and strong arm.
Hoping he doesn’t transfer…
