Yeah, I mean when was the last time anybody got real excited about a OC hire anywhere?Login to view embedded media A different take

"USC football receives great news as Josh Henson leaves coaching staff"
Haha. You clearly don’t understand how coaching transitions work. We were never going to find a guy with a complete staff ready to go the day after we let Walters go. It seems a few of the UNLV guys are already in from a coaching perspective. It’s just not official. Once in and the bowl game is over you’ll see guys start flipping.Underwhelming for sure, especially his lack of play calling experience. I don’t think there’s enough of a track record to judge potential, so he’s an unknown quantity. It’s definitely not the path to success we’ve seen work with Tiller and Brohm of hiring a proven offensive innovator. We all know they’ll get their shot with enthusiasm from all of us boilers!
However, I’m still shocked by the way this coaching transition is rolling out piecemeal. BoBo had to know that he needed a shortlist a year ago and nothing about this feels well planned. Maybe he thought he had his guy and got burned, but let’s hope this new staff gels quickly and turns things around.
So it’s just an “eye test” or maybe you use the RAND formula in excel to let it choose for you?I mean I have UConn at 20th. Who is the highest ranked 3 loss team. Gonzaga right behind them. Which I feel is pretty fair. And this early in the season, it is much easier to make what seem like drastic changes. Unlike the AP though, I am not sold on Baylor or Houston. Baylor also has 3 losses. A 38 point loss to Gonzaga, a 15 point loss to Tennessee and 4 point loss to UConn. They do have a couple nice wins over Arkansas and St. Johns. So if they keep winning, they'll rise back up. As for Houston, also 3 losses to Auburn, Alabama and SDSU. But their wins are Jackson State, Louisiana, Hofstra, Notre Dame, Butler and Troy. They have one Q2 win which was ND who is 100th in the NET and Butler(Q3) who is 76th. Me personally, I don't understand the love they get from the voters or the rating systems. But it is what it is. It is all just my opinion, just like it is for AP Voters and Coach voters. I use my eyeballs, who they have played, beaten, lost to, win/loss margin, what happens to teams around and I'll use NET more than Kenpom but neither are going to be the end all, be all.
Agreed. Saw our tempo is actually SLOWER than last year. Now there can be some factors to that but I would still think we would be a faster tempo team, but surprised me when I saw we weren’t.Good - if we learn lessons and pivot our strategy the next time we see something similar.
Bad - if we don't learn. All of our loses are focused on being more physical than us and stopping our motion from starting. We haven't exactly learned yet.
Things we need to see going into Auburn and conference schedule > someone else besides Braden has to attack. We have to pick up our tempo and be aggressive. Bench - we have to get production from them.....
Need Heide to attack the rimEven when he's double teamed and Smith makes the pass...there is no urgency from the help to drive it towards the hoop with a 4-3. They just cross the timeline and wait for Smith to start the offense...Colvin and Heide seldom attack the rim. Give Loyer a lot of credit ...our only wing that attacks the hoop.
Thank you. But some ppl here just think tons of guys who are 6’7-6’10 who are athletic and can score at will/shoot 3s from a mid major/p4 (who didn’t start) will come to Purdue to be the 4-6th option and also be cool to get paid less than elsewhere are all growing on trees. Thanks - it isn't a knock against anyone on the current roster or incoming guys, it is insurance.
We need to find a guy or 2 who wants to be part of a tourney run more than NIL money. That is what made Lance special - he wasn't about getting paid - he wanted tourney success and winning.
And all of those other percentages and you're looking at a way different result. A normal game from them and IU had a chance to win. Doesn't help Indiana couldn't throw it in the ocean because Nebraskas defense wasn't good either.
A career Defensive coach hiring an OC that’s never installed an offense or called plays before; What could go wrong..?Underwhelming for sure, especially his lack of play calling experience.

So you are saying that Kash will undo the DEI implemented by Biden and ask the DNC directed investigations on Trump and his friends be redirected to Trump enemies.Yeah, Kash will get rid of the all the DEI and then spend 4 years trying to figure out how to run the FBI in between investigating trumps enemies and the 2020 election.
Bring some USC portal guys, bring some ULV guys
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends!
I’m fine with that if they are not overpaid relative to the returning players. If someone is going to be paid like Fletcher Loyer, he better be a proven high level contributor.
So at least we know we’ll look good against Iowa…From what i understand, Riley calls the plays. Hansen was more in the Brian Brohm role at USC.
Plus Hudson and Chloe are good enough to start and play anywhere, these aren’t rotation players. My guess is Hudson is the #1 ranked player in the portal, Chloe is top 5 probably higher. Hudson is a first team All American, unless another All American transfers which is possible she would have to be #1. Purdue will likely get good players to come here, still a top 10–15 Volleyball school, players can earn money through sales of jerseys and what not, Purdue sells out every game, I doubt many other schools do that.lol no one is being put on probation for tampering. The NCAA won’t and can’t do anything about it. Even if they tried to punish a team for tampering, they’d get taken to court and lose instantly. If the NCAA hasn’t done anything about the 10,000 athletes that have transferred in the past 2 years, they sure as hell aren’t going to do anything about a volleyball player.
