No, I said that “I believe it’s gonna be IU” primarily because of location and featured role opening up. In the same post I also said “Hurley is currently running the top program in the nation and would be an extraordinary option for any kid, but especially one from the east coast. If you're familiar with the location of Storrs, Connecticut, it would be far easier for Mullins and his friends and family to get back and forth to UCLA than to UConn.”You did say Mullins was an IU lock and…well we saw what he retweeted last night 😂
Nothing better than hearing a chant to fire the coach of your favorite team by your own fans? That is just sad on so many levels. Nothing better than that? Wow.I was at the game and there was nothing better to hear than the Fire Woodson chants from the student section. Cheerleaders tried to drown them out but it didn't work.
So...I guess they miss a few classes then? Not done with any type of sarcasm. Maybe it's e-learning.Per Monday’s Painter radio show, Bloom said they would stay in Washington tonight, then fly to Oregon tomorrow.
It is the ADT shot that will eventually dissolve in March and the space oar that was injected into me to push on the bladder during radiation.Time to retire, mate.
That is a lot of research that takes a lot of time for you to do this for every game and so thank you.Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Tonight, it's the #17-ranked Purdue Boilermakers (13-4; 5-1) visiting the Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle to take on the home-standing Washington Huskies (10-7; 1-5). Tip is scheduled for approximately 9:30 pm (Eastern time) with television coverage on the Big Ten Network. This is the only regularly scheduled game between the two teams this season.
Projected Starting Line-ups:
Purdue - Trey Kaufman-Renn, Caleb Furst, CJ Cox, Fletcher Loyer, and Braden Smith
Washington - Great Osobor, Wilhelm Breidenbach, Tyler Harris, Zoom Diallo, and Tyree Ihenacho
____________________________
Washington is in the midst of a challenging stretch of games in its first season in the conference and is currently on a three-game losing streak. The Huskies' recent road trip proved particularly difficult, suffering a 32-point loss to Michigan State followed by a 91-75 defeat at the hands of Michigan. Purdue has won five straight and is coming off a convincing takedown of Nebraska on Sunday, 104-68.
The Huskies' offense has struggled to find consistency, averaging 73.2 points per game (235th) while shooting 43.9% (234th) from the field. Their three-point FG shooting has been a particular weakness, connecting on just 32.9% (257th) of their attempts from beyond the arc.
Washington is led by transfer Great Osobor, in scoring (14.3 ppg), rebounding (8.6 rpg), assists (3.4) and (2.2) steals per game. Osobor started his career at Montana State and spent last season at Utah State with current Washington coach Danny Sprinkle. Osobor had 14 points and 6 rebounds in Utah State's 2nd round NCAA Tournament game against Purdue but was generally neutralized in the Boilers' 106-67 victory. The other two players Purdue will likely focus more attention on will be Zoom Diallo, along with DJ Davis off the bench, if available. They have been inconsistent at times but are capable of scoring with the right opportunities, although Davis injured his ankle last week.
Washington is currently 93rd in the KenPom ratings (139th offensively and 73rd defensively). The Huskies have an adjusted tempo rating at 121st. Purdue is currently 12th overall in the KenPom ratings (6th offensively and 44th defensively). Adjusted tempo rating is 298th.
One aspect of Washington's team game has been the Huskies' defending of the 3-point line, ranking in the top-5 in the lowest number of 3-pt FG’s allowed this season and 20th in opponent 3-pt FG%. Given the home environment and unfamiliar shooting background for Purdue, Washington could try to force or bait more attempts from long-range. If the Boilers' long-range shots aren't falling, like what happened in their last road game at Rutgers, the Huskies' chances improve a lot. Washington will still have to shore up the paint, though, for that strategy to really work.
A good part of this game hinges on Purdue's ability to execute well on the road on both ends of the floor. Osobor will likely score some, but will he get enough help? Will Purdue's defensive resurgence continue? It's a long road trip on a short week, having played Sunday - how will that factor in. If Purdue continues to take care of the ball like the last few games and has even a decent shooting night, the Boilers' chances are pretty good to continue its win streak. However, Washington has had its moments playing at home - upset Maryland and gave Illinois all it wanted before dropping a close one. Nothing is guaranteed in conference play, especially on the road - another challenge for Purdue's newcomers.
Can the Boilers keep things rolling in the Northwest with a game at Oregon looming on Saturday?
We shall see, coming up in a little more than an hour or so.
Boiler up, my friends.

Time to retire, mate.I got 4 hrs and 22 minutes last night. I'm struggling to get 6 hours the last couple of months. However, the game will get me going and hopefully allow me to fall asleep quickly even if not for long...

I'm just going to assume this is a Severance situation and there are two different versions of you that don't know what the other actually posted. Both of those were your words, your arguments. Let us know who wins your internal argument. It's truly scintillating drama.

1. I have no idea what that cap is and I don't think you do either. The basketball team certainly has a cap on what it can spend. Purdue doesn’t have the NIL that schools like IU has. So, would we drop the big 3’s NIL to bring in a starting center? Possibly but that goes against the importance Painter places on retention.
Saw him play a couple games last week at the LaPorte Invitational. He’s a nice player nothing exceptional or a kid you gotta have. Maybe he’s better than I seen. Just didn’t see it last week. Looks like a nice heady kid and the best of luck to him. What I have read is Sisley often scores in double figures for Monteverde FL team with a high of 28....low of 6 when they gave scoring info
They have only played 5 decent teams. Most opponents though are soundly beaten 20-80+ pts. I know he is playing with good players, but when most opponents aren't that great and the majority of games blowouts, is there really the advertised development?
Yep. It's why they schedule 2 west coast teams in a row. I haven't looked, but I expect to see something like Rutgers and Maryland back-to-back for west coast teams.Per Monday’s Painter radio show, Bloom said they would stay in Washington tonight, then fly to Oregon tomorrow.
Could it be about NIL money guarantees?Obviously at this point, if you have a chance to come to Purdue and you'd rather go play for Woodson at IU, I'd say #1, you're not very intelligent and #2 you're likely not a Purdue type guy anyway.
Per Monday’s Painter radio show, Bloom said they would stay in Washington tonight, then fly to Oregon tomorrow. So do they fly to Washington, then come back, then go back out to Oregon? I have a word for that....Brutal.
He didn't have to. He's been there before. So when did Chump make a trip to the Middle East and attend the Hamas/Israel negotiation meetings to end the war?
So do they fly to Washington, then come back, then go back out to Oregon? I have a word for that....Brutal.
