Alabama is really good and so is Ole Miss. two wins to be proud of and why our numbers are so good.
While the Goal Zone is wrapping up - here's a score update - Alabama with a big win @ Rupp Arena to take down Kentucky, 102-97.
LA paid 300k per annum to some woman to be their diversity head. And spent millions on DEI instead of actual firefighters and equipment. Thing is a fire doesn’t care what identity group you belongs to when it burns down your house. So spending city funds for drag queen story hours instead of fire mitigation looks pretty stupid.I think there's more data for my case than there is with fire fighters!
Now do Asians and the opportunity to attend Michigan and all the Ivy League schools. Now you are getting ridiculous. Asians or any other ethnic group have every opportunity to play in the NFL. NFL ain’t discriminating against anyone like the did 70 years ago.
You do realize that white applicants who got answers to cheat on exams also screwed better qualified white applicants? There are only many jobs at the firehouse so if somebody’s cousin who was unqualified got the job they bumped out ALL qualified applicants regardless of race. You see everything through the prism of race. I see fairness. You want those jobs that went to white dudes inappropriately to go to black applicants only. I want it to go to the BEST applicant.I don’t think you answered my previous question. Was or is it ok for firemen to give exam answers and hire their sons, and other family members regardless of qualifications? Was it ok for whites to hire other whites in general regardless of qualifications? Was it ok for cities to hire white only construction contractors regardless of qualifications?
What's the point of this comment?so you supplying the $$?
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Today, the #17-ranked Purdue Boilermakers (14-4; 6-1) stay out on the West coast and are in Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene to take on the #13-ranked Oregon Ducks (15-2; 4-2) in a key conference clash. Tip is scheduled for around 3:00 pm (Eastern time) with television coverage on NBC and Peacock. This is the only scheduled meeting between the schools this season.
Projected Starting Line-ups:
Purdue - Trey Kaufman-Renn, Caleb Furst, CJ Cox, Fletcher Loyer, and Braden Smith
Oregon - Brandon Angel, Nate Bittle, Adrian Tracey, Jackson Shelstad, and TJ Bamba

Purdue has won six straight and is coming off a second-half comeback win at Washington on Wednesday, 69-58. Oregon has won three straight and has been off since last Sunday after sweeping a road trip to Ohio State and then Penn State.
Oregon is solid in all areas and can play inside outside, which will certainly be a big challenge for Purdue's defense in a road environment. Each of the Ducks' top-eight rotation players averages six or more points per game. They can also play different styles — a more physical one with Supreme Cook in the paint or a more skilled center with Nate Bittle. Bittle leads Oregon in scoring with 13.7 points per game and also leads with 7.8 rebounds per game. Next is guard Jackson Shelstad with 12.5 points and 3 assists per game. Shelstad also shoots 36.8% from beyond the arc and is excellent from the FT line with a 86.1 FT%. Oregon has terrific guard play next to Shelstad — Keeshawn Barthelemy and TJ Bamba can erupt in the scoring column just like Shelstad, and Jadrian Tracey is a rugged defender.
Oregon is currently 25th overall in the KenPom ratings, 21st offensively and 40th defensively. It plays with a quicker pace than Purdue with an adjusted tempo rated 141st to Purdue's 298th. Purdue is up to 10th overall in the KenPom ratings, 9th in offensive efficiency and 40th defensively.
This is Purdue's biggest true road test since Marquette, and they will need two halves like the second half last game at Washington, or this could be a long afternoon for the Boilers. In road conference play (Penn State, Minnesota, Rutgers, and Washington), they've been inconsistent at best with long-range shooting. They will definitely need better results today against a talented Oregon squad. On defense, expect Purdue to try and focus containment on Bittle and Shelstad. Bittle's 3-pt FG shooting has also opened up even more opportunities for the Duck's offense. Keeshawn Barthelemy, along with Shelstad can also get going from beyond the arc, allowing Oregon to play outside in as well.
The Boilers have been pretty solid of late with avoiding many live-ball turnovers - those would be killers today. Simply put, Purdue will need maximum execution today - expect them to still try to work through Trey Kaufmann-Renn, but this is also a game where Braden Smith will need to assert himself looking to score - and the Boilers will definitely need some production from CJ Cox, Myles Colvin, Cam Heide, and Gicarri Harris.
Matt Painter knows the challenge for his team today - "I've watched them maybe one time on film, and then I've watched a lot of highlights... But if you just look at their schedule and their record and all the people they've played and beat, it speaks for itself. If the tournament was right now, they'd be a two or a three seed. (Dana Altman) is a fabulous coach. Very familiar with him being from Creighton 20 years ago when I was at Southern Illinois."
A win today would be a huge boost for Purdue in the conference race getting a tough road win over one of the expected contenders. Can the Boilers end this trip to the West on a high note before returning home?
We shall see, starting in about an hour or so.
Boiler up, my friends.

things are pointing to a double digit victoryExcited to see how the team comes out after a 6 game streak against weaker competition.
W or L, how the team looks and competes today will have a big impact on if I see them winning the B1G.
I think we see an A+ Braden game in the national spotlight and get the W. It was nice bonus to get Washington first on this trip to get the kinks out.
I don't have any extra information, but just wanted to say that I used to really look forward to MDC's player breakdowns after Purdue basketball games.Did any of you post years ago on the Steve’s Gridiron/Mr. Hoops forums, back close to 25 years ago? If so, there was a group of us Indy area posters that met for lunch on the NE corner of 465. I believe it was at the old Cheeseburger in Paradise. I remember MDC and db being there, but not many others. Does anyone else remember or attend that. I used the handle Big D in the early years? Anyway, just wondering if any of those posters from years go by have passed.
I did Mr Hoops and Indy Star back in the day. People would shorten my handle and call me POPDid any of you post years ago on the Steve’s Gridiron/Mr. Hoops forums, back close to 25 years ago? Now you are getting ridiculous. Asians or any other ethnic group have every opportunity to play in the NFL. NFL ain’t discriminating against anyone like the did 70 years ago.Does this apply to the NFL players? 53 percent African American doesn't seem equitable or inclusive of Asian Americans who make up 0.1 percent.
Does this apply to the NFL players? 53 percent African American doesn't seem equitable or inclusive of Asian Americans who make up 0.1 percent.Well, I hope y’all enjoy making America great again by removing DEI and continue to hire whites than hire unqualified sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters. Continue to help them cheat on exams and whatnot.
Getting rid of DEI will set civil rights back almost 60 years.
MSU’s has been even easierYeah, Purdue got the gentlest start to the B1G schedule imaginable. But 9 of the next 10 are against teams that are at least .500 in conference play. So we'll see.
It's going to be a wild next couple months. I expect turbulence, but I also think Painter and the guys will find a way.
Damned near all of us that are still posting here fit that description.Yeah he certainly could be the stereotypical "old codger" as it were![]()
Well if that's where you're going, it's also a noon game local. Or 2pm where I am. Just to mess you up some more lolStop messing up my numerology.
