This is key, and why we will still see a center in the lineup often. We got handled on the offensive glass last night.Just need that lineup to rebound!

What we believe is even better BB. We believe in agreeing to what the current market will bear. Shortage of workers due to more business means better wages and benefits. Overindulgence of workers means less pay. After this term the MAGA BS will go away. It will go back to the pre-MAGA Republican. Even though it was still the party of white supremacy, they were tolerable and not as jackassery. I like the Mitt Romney type republicans. The Christie type republicans. The Michael Steele type republicans. Colin Powell or Condoleezza Rice rice types. Pence seems like a pretty good dude.
By the way, the repubs are not the party for the working class. If they were they wouldn’t not be against unions. Against a $35 cap on prescription drugs. Against college tuition forgiveness. Against raising minimum wages, etc.
Agree, grimes needs to go too. Let’s get back to hiring people based on merit.I thought you were kidding about the "diversity' part of her title. I looked her up, you weren't kidding. Spending money, whether it's Purdue or IBM, on a 'diversity' position is just stupid. I can't wait until all this DEI garbage is over. Hopefully soon now with a new sheriff in town.
Illinois has a really tough non conference…by no means is it “really weak”.Team Top 5 player rankings.

3. Ohio State 4.2
4. Purdue 4.02
5. Northwestern 3.98

7. Wisconsin 3.92
8. Oregon 3.52
9. Indiana 3.40
10. Iowa 3.22

13. PU - T. Kaufman 5.0
It's early, but Illinois, Michigan and Ohio State seem to have the best talent and look to be favorites for the BT.
Illinois and Indiana pre conference schedules are really weak. ESPN has Purdue with toughest schedule left in the COUNTRY!
It's funny, even with a weak schedule, IU's high dollar guards have ratings of : Rice 0.6, Carlye -2.3! Galloway is their best guard at 3.1.
I think…Colvin may take that over. However, Harris did great on John last night in the first half. 2nd half is when he heated up and we needed Colvins threat to score to counter. And his defense was the best we’ve seen and he rebounded at times good. Keep building on that and let’s hope w me see an even better Myles by end of the year.me too, I said sometimes guys got to play thru some things and they can't when they are sitting on the bench. H e played great scored , defended, and rebounded ( which we really need). And this is no knock on Harris , who will be a great player, but I was surprised that Colvin wasn't a starter at the beginning of the season ( even though I know it's not who starts but who finishes).
Just need that lineup to rebound!I think that lineup of TKR, Heide, Colvin, Loyer and Smith is starting to look pretty good.
I still maintain that's our best lineup.
Ryan walters is detrimental to Purdue football. The chants are just a product of his coaching, and in the scheme of things are pretty irrelevant. The chant is detramental to both football and basketball.
Not every team in the Big 10 plays a traditional 5, but of the ones that do, I think foul trouble will be an issue for going against TKR. And, if TKR is getting abused, Berg is a great option for those situations. I think whoever guards the 4 is a bigger concern. Painter might want to show our guards some video of Chris Kramer guarding Joakim Noah so they know what is to be expected of them from here on out.TKR at 5 and Cam at 4 is going to get beat on like Ali doing rope-a-dope in the Big 10.
Agreed, and when the students pushed the uncomfortable button with the chants, the AD dept. did like it!!!!As I said before, when your team quits on the field, it's a bad sign, when your recruits start decommitting, it's even worse, but when your student section (at a basketball game!) starts chanting to fire the football coach, it's undeniable because now you've lost the fan base and the $ will follow.
At this point,if the word is, No, with firing CRW, the programs fate is sealed for at least two more years......So we should retain Walters and not try. Get it!
Or, you reset…find the best coach you can and give the fan base reasons to invest? Crazy huh?
Or are we still blaming Brohm?
Doubtful, I know the several I know and talk to where all big Trump supporters because of this. They worked hard and came here legally and feel everyone else should too.Of course you will.
It will come as a surprise to some Hispanics and other trump voters when it's not just murderers and rapists that get deported.
I was going to post the links to show that Biden inherited 1.4% inflation and gas prices preCovid, when the economy was humming, were at or below $2.00.Literally every developed country in the world voted out incumbents in the most recent election. I do think racism and misogyny have to be considered as a factor, but there is no single factor why the better candidate lost.
Inflation was an issue, but Biden inherited 9% inflation and brought it back down to 2%, and before you show me that photo of low gas prices, recall that Covid dramatically reduced demand, which is what led to gas prices dropping below $2/gallon in the first place.
You clearly don’t have the ability to see nuance in speech.Of course he didn't. Point to all the times he clarified that when speaking about illegals. I know of one time, like 7 years ago. Otherwise every single time he just refers to them as rapists and murderers etc.
TKR at 5 and Cam at 4 is going to get beat on like Ali doing rope-a-dope in the Big 10.3 games in, I am curious of others thoughts, but after losing Jacobson, I don't think there should be a lot of debate in terms of who our top 7 players are (my ranking is below).
1 - Smith
2 - Loyer
3 - TKR
4-7 Harris, Cox, Colvin, Heide,
8-10 Berg, Furst, Burgess
It's very strange to not see a 5 in our top 7 players this year, but I think our best shot of winning 20 + games and contending for the BIG10 will be to play our top 7 players as many minutes as possible throwing position out the window. Our 8-10 are good situational options but not a group you can build team strategy around. My prediction is that Painter is going to be forced sooner or later to play a 3 guard 2 forward or even a 4 guard lineup as our baseline.
This won't be an easy road, so if Painter can keep this team ranked and in contention for the BIG10, I would consider it right up there with any of his best coaching efforts since he has been here.

Maybe the hit the jackpot because they've been at the bottom of the barrel for SO long.Wow, new coach brings 13 players and 10 start, bundle and win Flo!.
Add water and stir and you have a team!
Maybe we can find Bundle for next year !
Completely agree. And I was shocked that the AP and Coaches polls have them ahead of Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, and ND this week. And let's face it, if they miss, it will be partially due to brand recognition. Because there are still humans doing it. You think if Indiana has a close resume to a Penn State or a Georgia that they'd get in? Not a chance. Part of that is also a function of how the polls work, where even if they don't technically matter, they're inherently in the minds of the committee members. If there were no polls until last week, Indiana might be #3 instead of #5. And that difference could be huge in the end.
It is a bit of apples and oranges Bob. Those things you list above are moves to steal less money from people through taxation on people working. An auto loan interest deduction, although less appealing to me just goes along with other tax credits in play and to stimulate a sector. All are totally different than asking workers through taxation to pay for other's misappropriate choices and irresponsibility even though history has shown the stupidity to last longer than a few years. No tax on tips.
No taxes on overtime.
No taxes on SS benefits.
No taxes on police officers, firefighters, veterans, active duty military.
Deduction for auto loan interest.
You just keep repeating the same labels and NEVER EVER take a look at what your side is doing. You think your side is somehow different. How are these not giveaways and buying votes lol?
Last year there were some very concerned that Myles was not getting the minutes needed to improve and help the team in the tourney due to his D and ball sticking in his hands a bit and less movement without the ball. This year he is better on those things and especially his on ball D. For a couple of games he has had the opponents best scorer and is significantly better than last year on D

If there were no polls until last week, Indiana might be #3 instead of #5. And that difference could be huge in the end. They don’t have a respectable win though. This is just like basketball where teams get burned by the committee for no signature wins, they just win all the games they are supposed to. Same with football how many times have college football teams gone undefeated and missed the 4 team playoffs and everyone says well you should have scheduled someone good. Now we have 12 team playoffs and now the 1 loss teams are going to belly ache about the same.
Bob, I'm not going to rehash all the findings for you, let alone the statistical anomalies. It is not important that I provide a breakthrough for you if it were possible. Probably two years ago JM or Katscratch or ?????? mention there was no fraud when in fact there was fraud...just not knowing roughly how rampant it was. You are not serious when you think the world sees Trump as weak and Biden's regime as not do you? Rhetorical, you are welcome to stay in the dark waiting for someone to tell you how to recognize something...and we are a Constitutional Republic, not a democracyThere is no context when you say "Then we know the fraud that took place in 2020". That's a clear statement. If that's a basis of your argument then there's no need to go any further.
People have been have convicted on much less? Could you be more vague when trying to make argument?
Would you say the same about some dems who are currently arguing the difference between those who voted for trump but voted democrat in the down ballots means there was fraud this year? That Elon used Starlink to fix the election for Trump? They're as batsh/t crazy as you and yours were in '20. Congrats on starting a trend that will be with us for far too long. For all the bloviating from the right about weakness, this is what the world sees as such. The greatest democracy in history of the world being taken down because so called adults can't admit they lost.
