Coaches don't think like fans. There will be coaches rushing to interview if called, sinking ship or not. Example ... Bostad left Wisconsin for Tom Allen's sinking ship and then gets hired by the new staff ... the only one from the old IU staff. Coach Walters is not a DEI hire. He was a woefully under prepared hire. Doesn't matter what color a coach is, if he/she produces the same results they should be removed. If he/she is successful, their hiring should have been based on qualifications. Clearly our AD failed in the vetting process.

Should Georgia get in with 2 losses while playing UMASS this week? Or Bama playing Mercer last week? What kind of message does that send to college football? Oregon's first game was with Idaho a team that IU opened with in 2023.

Colvin and Heide not having usable handles is a challenge because it limits their offensive abilities. That is something they should have worked on in the off-season. Perhaps they did but it is a confidence issue.

When they have mismatches against forwards, they should be able to use that to their advantage. They need to be able to cut and slash and not just shoot.

Hawkins here would have been a ridiculously good addition.

I am against any religious exercise at a government function, school or otherwise. It's likely there are football players on the team that are non Christian. Jews, Muslims, people who don't have religious beliefs. But it happens all the time at school functions outside the classroom. Sports events, commencements, meetings. Guess what? 99.99% of the time we non Christians say nothing. I bow my head out of respect for YOUR RELIGION even though I don't believe in it. We just let it go. Live and let live.
