I hoop he doesn't replace Woody after he is fired.Does this make Shake 3-2 vs Painter?
Ever since his VCU days, I've really liked the way his teams play with their relentless pressure D, guards who can penetrate and kick out, and transition offense.
I've always thought he'd be a great replacement at Purdue when Painter hangs it up.
Nope. I actually like Condeleeza Rice. Colin Powell as well. There are/were not black grifters. Was Rice a DEI hire? Most republicans will say no. This DEI stuff seems to only apply to dems selections. One name B....Condi Rice, whom I'd guess you hated.
I know God is a football fan from all the postgame interviews with players who say God had a purpose during the game and so forth, but not picking up on this joke...?Unfortunately, I got to know Jesus all to well.......
Very sorry for your loss, and very thankful for her service of 30 years in teaching and guiding young people.I know what a GOOD TEACHER is Bob. I was married to one of the best until her passing from a brain tumor. Lines two wide around a city block at her viewing. A mile and half long procession to her entombment. A stack of letters of love and appreciation from her students of 30 years that is almost 2" thick. The teachers in her school (public) prayed as a group every morning before class and had prayers for those with special needs of any type as needed. Thank God she never had to deal with the woke classroom or the lunacy that exists about education today.
I get what you’re saying but a loss to a 15 seed who has no business beating a Purdue team with two future lottery picks on it is a bad loss whether it takes place in the sweet 16 or any other round especially sandwiched in between 1st round losses to a 14 and 16 seed. This is just dumb. Purdue under Painter has been to the S16 or better in 5 of the last 7 tourneys. There is only one other team that has had better consistency during that same period, Gonzaga. Add on top of that a Champ runner up and an elite 8 and you have a top 6-7 tourney performance in all of College bball.
Also that 4 year tourney run that you are talking about included a canceled tourney, and a S16. IF you didn't completely cherry pick your data to fit your narrative the book ends to that 4 year (with only 3 tourneys) was an E8 and a Finals appearance........
Not sure what is going on with him at K-State but Woof!

I'm sure they did Bob, as well as providing comfort and hope and making folks feel better.Which has nothing to do with the topic.
I hope all the prayers made everybody feel better.
Cynical, aren't you Bob.Try to show respect and you piss on it. You'd be the first to have a hissy if I decided to make a phone call during your prayer.
Fine. The hell with you and your cult. Actually two cults.
One name B....Condi Rice, whom I'd guess you hated. So why is she not a DEI hire like y’all call black women when they get selected for something? Why aren’t you underestimating or undervaluing Bondi like y’all do black women?
Can you honestly say that Hegseth, Gaetz, and RFK Jr are the best of the best for the cabinet positions that they were selected for?an educated guess is that a hand was not shown to be a preference...like I'm going to hire a black female...along with the first choice that couldn't be described as DEI person. Biden did that with his justice saying he wanted a black female for the bench...not proposing to appoint the best, but to fill a demographic as though there is some significance in that demographic that someone might choose.

Agase’s first year finished 5 and 6, but Purdue had 3 first round draft choices, 2 second round and 8 total. I was in college at Purdue during that time. We were disappointed but a lot better than today’s performance! At this point, I'll say Haze.
Statistically, the worst coaches of my time are Jim Colletto, Fred Akers, Ryan Walters, and Haze---probably in that order with Colletto being the best of that bunch and Haze being the worst.
I don't think Bob DeMoss belongs on that list at all. Yeah, he followed Mollenkopf and couldn't keep pace. But, he did go 6-2 in the B1G his las year as Purdue's head coach. None of the other bottom tier of Purdue coaches have come anywhere close to that. I would put DeMoss in the same category as Alex Agase, Leon Burtnett, and Danny Hope as below average but not the bottom.
My take on Purdue coaches since Mollenkopf:
Top tier:
1. Jim Young -- Purdue's best teams since Fat Jack.
2. Joe Tiller -- Consistent success if not great.
3. Jeff Brohm -- Exciting while it lasted.
Average by Purdue standards:
4. Bob DeMoss -- Tough gig to follow Mollenkopf, but a true Purdue man.
5. Danny Hope -- Not a lot of institutional support.
6. Leon Burtnett -- Take out the '84 team, and this looks MUCH worse.
7. Alex Agase -- Competitive but couldn't get Purdue back over the hump.
Bottom Tier:
8. Jim Colletto -- Great running game but no defense and questionable game day decisions.
9. Fred Akers -- No defense, no running game, no real plan
10. Ryan Walters -- It's not looking good.
11. Darrell Hazell -- Three+ years spent in the Haze.
Try to show respect and you piss on it. You'd be the first to have a hissy if I decided to make a phone call during your prayer.Bob, please...don't bow your head for my religion. I detest phony and fake people and that's phony and fake.
I've wondered the same thing!Trump is crazy like a fox. My guess is that Gaetz is a pawn in his game strategy.
And around and around and around we go . . . .If Biden doesn't say he's hiring a black woman and then hires one who is qualified, is that DEI? Is the the question of qualification not the determining factor here? Not whether he announced it or not?

BS. It not circular logic. You don't have an answer or don't want to answer. This is called "circular logic." I'm not joining you on the merry-go-round.
True...and selling out to a 3 ball or at the rim only for the number's game makes attacking for a mid range shot a second thought...which feeds into more pressure and running Purdue off the three. With a good, quick first step those two should only require 2 and at most 3 dribbles to get into the lane for a short jumpers and confidently elevate knowing the other team doesn't want to foul a jump shooter. High school players should be able to go from the elbow to a layup with one dribble easily uncontested just to show the distance that can be covered. Players 6'5" and taller that are athletic should be able to do that...."IF" they worked on it.Colvin and Heide not having usable handles is a challenge because it limits their offensive abilities. That is something they should have worked on in the off-season. Perhaps they did but it is a confidence issue.
When they have mismatches against forwards, they should be able to use that to their advantage. They need to be able to cut and slash and not just shoot.
I've said it in the past and predict it in the future. Containing the dribble and pass (to a lessor extent) outside the lane will be a weaker area 5, 10,15 years from now. It seems Caleb is leading with the ball too early or showing it too early on those potential dunks that get blocked. As we know if Matt makes a change, it many times is after a loss.I think we will see a much more focused and deliberate group on Saturday. Ball control and movement will likely be better as the offense works to move the ball more while also cutting down on the turnovers.
The big three will step up and I could see Braden taking over in this one. If you wanted to predict a triple double, this one would be my pick.
I don’t know if Paint will change the lineup or not but I could see Furst getting the nod at the five.
Harris and Cox need to make sure they are aggressive on offense as we need them to give us something every game. Same goes for Heide and Colvin. It’s just a matter of time before Colvin gives us a double double the way he has been playing D and rebounding.
Overall I predict we slow it down a bit from Tuesday night and really, really focus on cutting the turnovers, rebounding the ball, especially on the defensive end and keeping the opponent out of the paint.
If the opposition is to eat clock in a zone press rather than to try to create turnovers, does rushing down the court feed into what the opposition wants since they are backing down and just looking for Purdue to make a mistake, but otherwise not trap? They were stunting and faking the double and playing the pass or waiting for someone to dribble into a trap it seemed at times. Last year when Purdue struggled with the clock as a result of being on their heels a bit...Zach was always an outlet when everything fell apart. I like this team, but it is different than last year and needs some attacking the basket in the half court. Now if you can score against the press...then yes this team should do that.Agree. This put Braden and/or our offense in a tough position. We had some late clock shots and that isn't our norm.
don't get it
Is their 5 man a quick defender. IMO the Marquette defender could hard hedge HARD and still cover Braden for a bit longer which started some problems. A more agile, quicker 5 that was a threat to score with a quick slip and/or create his space rolling as the 5 defender is in that hard hedge ...might back that pressure off a bit. If Auburn has that, it will be interesting to see how Purdue does. They smother the ball as well or better than Marquette. Hopefully we attack it differently.
