IU fans must be in meltdown mode!!

Except he's still shooting just fine against competition.
Gonzaga - he was 1/4 until he made his second one with 1:57 left in the game—he cut the deficit to 87-69

Louisville - 1/3 until he made the second one with 4:22 left in the game cutting the cardinal lead to 82-50

Very similar to Chris Paul hitting a 3 to cut lead down to 42 vs the mavs

Great loss

do you say these type of things on your podcast? Where can I listen for a good laugh?
When I get it going again, I'll let you know. Because it'll be love on YouTube, FB and X. Unfortunately I had to stop it over the summer because I was too busy, concerned and ultimately too tired because of radiation treatments for lymphoma (thankfully a non lethal type).

Who runs this site??

When will the reporters/journalists who run this site have Bobinski in for an interview, a hard hitting Q &A? Or am I missing something? Is it a Bot that runs this?
This used to be a great site and then G&B and their staff left. No disrespect to Travis but he stepped in here after spending a career as a blogger and just does not have the same level of respect as Alan Karpick. He’s pretty fair, professional, and heck I think he’s president of the school corporation. I’m not sure Brian or Tom could get an interview with Bobinski although they seem to have a lot more inside knowledge than this site. You get much more value in subscription there starting with B&O each week, the weekly tracks, and they run their message board pretty tight.

Great loss

Yea you will lose games. But this thing called the NET exist and it matters. And losing by 20 is never good. No matter what you're playing. Especially in the non conference. From a perception standpoint, also not good to lose by 20. Sure you can learn things and get better but that doesn't turn it into a great loss or even a good loss. It's still a bad loss to learn from. If your team has a mindset of "losing by 20 is a great loss" then that team is lost. I don't think Painter was in the locker room saying "great loss guys. We're gonna learn a lot from this."
No, he doesn't say it.
He just thinks it.
He just told us that exact thing a couple of weeks ago in an interview.
Not that hearing the words from the horses mouth would convince a hoosier.
As long as there's more steps forward than backwards, you're making progress.

Purdue vs. Ole Miss: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Big shout out to player of the game.....TKR with a huge double - double.

25 pts & monster 13R & 3 A
Fantastic All American numbers again tonight
This is why IMO you don’t press and run up and down the court. You don’t want to take Trey out of the game when other coaches want that. Push the ball, probe and apply offensive pressure and if nothing there…Trey needs to see the ball whether he scores or not…he needs to have the ball in his hands most possessions

Purdue vs. Ole Miss: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Braden was too out of control down the stretch. Seriously, what happened to his decision making.
Loyer: just shoot the damn ball! That backwards pass was so stupid.
And why didn't we/Cam/CMP guard the kid on the inbounds pass at the end? At least be near him to be a tad more uncomfortable on final shot, vs WIDE OPEN....
Yes , I told Kim he has to catch it curling to the right for his shot on the run. I would have put in Caleb to defend the trigger man and told the other players to overplay the curl to their right hand and let them get it going to the left more, but they had to catch it on the run and shoot…not enough time for more than a very quick dribble if that was even available…just take their body MO going to the left so they are going against their body on the shot

Purdue vs. Ole Miss: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Final 3 possessions by Smith were brutal as well. 2 timeouts and that was the plays?

Colvin saved the coaching staff.
I told Kim to watch Ole Miss try to prevent Braden from getting the ball or a quick double because they didn’t want the ball in his hands when they doubled him at half court.

As far as the last shot…I have no problem with it. I told Kim to watch for Myles or Cam because they were going to sell out on Braden, Fletcher and Trey. When they didn’t double Braden on the last possession I like him taking the shot to win it since it was tied and sometimes refs swallow the whistle when tied as they convince themselves the are letting the players decide…and there is no risk of an errant pass and catch if he takes it with a 50% chance of winning and 50% go into overtime where Purdue had a slight edge in momentum, but maybe more fatigue as a team. When Braden let it fly two players went to keep Trey away from the board and not sure in real time and camera shot if one of those was Myles man. I don’t think Beard wanted to double Braden again for fear Matt may have addressed that in the huddle
