Rest of Schedule…

I am glad we are scheduling more demanding games against elite teams. This will benefit us greatly come March.

I don’t know if we threepeat because the conference is going to be strong. That coupled with traveling out to the West coast will be tough as well.

I still think we are too 3/4 in conference and probably 4/6 seed in the tourney.
If we can get to the S16 this year and it be in Indy, that’d be a huge win. And 3PETEing would be awesome too.

Don't sleep on Michigan, Ohio State, Maryland, or MSU either. Lots of capable teams in the BIG. Nebraska, UCLA, and even Penn State aren't just going to fall over, either.
I agree. I don’t believe much in MSU to be honest. They can’t shoot the 3 and their front court is atrocious. I don’t think UNC is as good as they’ve been ranked…they have a bad front court too (which I don’t understand how that’s possible). But the others you mentioned, def agree.

It could--probably will--get bumpy. Illinois looked very good against Arkansas yesterday. Auburn has been a juggernaut so far. Wisconsin looks salty, as usual. We'll see what Oregon does against Alabama. Rutgers and Indiana are off to so-so starts, but both have talent. We'll see if they can put it together.

Purdue isn't going to run this table by any stretch. But they'll be a tough out for anyone if they stick together and play to their potential.

Names to consider for our next football coach?

BoBos contract has been used as the excuse over and over on this board. But BoBo got extended through June 2028, so it’s just not the case.

Was told that Bobo is embarrassed and pissed.........

Purdue vs. Middle Tennessee State THREAD

Was able to watch the game from a laggy stream on tubi. Probably our best game played to date considering the competition(mtsu won 30 games last year and have most of their players back, should be another tourney team).

We had some crucial turnovers down the stretch but overall we did a better job of taking care of the rock.

Layden returned and I thought she gave us some good minutes. It was a bit eye opening seeing her essentially take all of petree's minutes even though Layden has been out so long with an injury. She did a solid job boxing out, bricked her first 3, was closer on the second. I noticed at one point, she went down to the low block and was telling the wing player(I think Lombard) where to line up for the play. She's not going to turn this team around by herself but I think she can help and she needs the minutes to grow if she's going to be a part of this program going forward. I also think she plays within herself. That should help with our turnover issue.

Puryear had some good moments as well, hit some early jumpers to get us going in the first. With how high and far back she shoots it, her jumper is practically unblockable.

We just need to keep growing, the defense has been better these last couple games.

Now lets go get massacred by some gamecocks tomorrow.

Recruiting Turkeytastrophe!

Quite the blunder. Basically all public appearances and word has leaned to us keeping him. If we weren’t, the word should have gone out LONG ago.

This has been beyond bungled and the decision isn’t even public yet.
Who knows really what is going on behind the scenes. Some direction from the athletic department would at least let people make decisions on their futures. Players, Fans and Coaches. Here is what Co-pilot says.

"Athletic departments may remain silent on firing decisions to manage public relations and avoid unnecessary speculation or backlash from fans, players, and stakeholders. Additionally, they often need to consult with legal and human resources before making any announcements to ensure compliance with policies and to protect against potential lawsuits."

If he is going to be retained, wouldn't Bobinski have already made that announcement? Not sure why, but I think he is waiting until after the Indiana game to either make or announce a final decision. God help the Boilermakers if he is retained. Whoever is the coach year is going to have a very difficult year to right the ship.
Not if u can get a decent coach that brings his staff and players like Cig did.

Which would you rather?

Highly unlikely that we keep the Bucket game within 4 TDs, but wondering what everyone thinks.

Would you rather beat IU and risk that Walters would stay on for another year? It is possible that a loss to us could also keep IU out of the CFP. With our record, it should remove them from consideration with the strength of their schedule.

If we would upset IU, I could see Bobinski giving Walters consideration for another year, because we might be turning the corner in his logic. Of course, we know that would make next year a complete lost year and set our program back 2 to 3 years minimum.

So, beat IU and Walters stays or get beat by IU and Walters is gone?
One, we will not beat IU! Will lose by 35+

Two, Walters will be the coach in 2025. The Illinois comeback made it 95% and the MSU game added the other 5%. Illinois game made the Boiler homers proud!
