My wife's baby brother is 60. He's a contractor working in the aviation industry abd has lived in Taiwan for ten years. He married a girl in her mid-30s. While battling cancer he became a father for the first time. He is in remission and his son just turned one. He owns a house in Pensacola and one at Tecumseh Bend. The intent is to be living back her by summer.
Cancer has no favorites. It finds people of all stripes...

I come to bury the playoffs, not to praise them

my only complaints. 1) this is a small complaint but there are too many teams. Football is not like basketball. 8 teams would be fine. 2) going to 8 eliminates the bye which i also dont like 3) seeding is my biggest complaint. You can give auto entries without locking teams into seeds. Also, the committee has too much power. Theyve already got a ranking system based on computer models like bball...use those. 4) nobody should have a home game.
Could you imagine actually making this Ohio State team sit at home because you for some reason believe 8 teams is enough for a division of football(CBS) with over 130 teams. Have you ever wondered why talent never spread out? That's because for the longest time, only 5-6 teams really had any shot because of the BCS. It didn't change but with the 4 team. But 12? Now you have Indiana, SMU, Arizona State and Boise State in the playoffs? That's great for the long run. I could see getting rid of home games. But I'd go to 16 and section of 4 chunks of the 1st and 2nd round into different cities like the NCAA tourney does. Indy, St. Louis, New York, LA, Vegas, Dallas can all host games in the 1st round. You could make the 2nd round be the Big 4 Bowls(Rose, Fiesta etc). Final 4 and championship game would be its own thing.

I did a small homestead for a few years. My best man was an AGR... became a veterinarian ... died of a brain tumor after having 4 daughters before he was 40 (and died) .... If you're N of C'ville, it doesn't look too bad now.

Down here near Bloomington, IN. Weather great here.....calm before the storm. Owned the Crawfordsville Livestock Commission for a time, a tic N of Cville, across from the hospital. Sold it to move South.

Brother was an AGR back starting around 75. My younger brother attended Farmhouse in the 80s. I lived in the Farmhouse grey house, their residential party house for a short time.
But yeah, been feeding cows and getting water and hay ready prior to the snow storm. All ready to go, and now watching SEC hoops.

Colvin and Heide yikes

Yeah I think it’s the latter a bit. I think it’s just they a bit apprehensive to shoot and miss and have everyone pissed off about it. You could see Loyer get super fired up and happy for Cam when his 3 hit front iron and then got a nice friendly bounce.

Tough to get into rhythm if you miss a shot and then don’t get another shot attempt for another 15-20 possessions/30 mins later in the game.

Offense is designed for big 3 to get them going and not the 4th and 5th guy.
I agree that a lot of the shooting issues for Cam and Myles are mental, but I don't think they need to worry about anyone being pissed off if they shoot and miss. MP stated earlier in the year that they need to pull the trigger without hesitation when they're open.

It would be interesting to know if they're struggling to make shots in practice. Unless you're a special guy with no conscience it can be tough to shoot without hesitation when you know you're not shooting well.

He is back before it is official!

New YorkCNN —
US Steel shareholders overwhelmingly approved a deal for the iconic American manufacturer to be purchased by Japan’s Nippon Steel. But the outlook for the controversial merger has never looked so bad.

The deal is significant, not just for the future of what is still a key US industry central to building everything from cars to appliances to roads and bridges, it is also at the center of election year politics and relations between the United States and Japan, a major ally.

There was no resistance from Biden to this takeover.

Where's your concern about this move?
Looks like Biden blocked the Nippon Steel deal to buy U.S. Steel.

Michigan St., Michigan, and UCLA

That's in line with what many were predicting before the season started, but the Alabama win may have created unrealistic expectations. We still have a good chance to be a top tier team in conference, but probably not the top team like the past couple years.

I know the AL win helped my expectations, as prior to that game, I was thinking 11 losses. Now thinking perhaps 9-10.
