The problem I am concerned about is that both aren’t shooting their shots in any kind of flow. Very apprehensive in considering whether to shoot. These guys are both Shooters from way back. Most shooters will just continue to take their shots when the opportunity presents even when not hitting. Makes me wonder what’s going on and why they are in their own heads. Do they figure that oh I’m not a primary option and I’m not hitting so I shouldn’t shoot but pass so they are thinking not just putting it up in rhythm?
Yeah I think it’s the latter a bit. I think it’s just they a bit apprehensive to shoot and miss and have everyone pissed off about it. You could see Loyer get super fired up and happy for Cam when his 3 hit front iron and then got a nice friendly bounce.

Tough to get into rhythm if you miss a shot and then don’t get another shot attempt for another 15-20 possessions/30 mins later in the game.

Offense is designed for big 3 to get them going and not the 4th and 5th guy.

Michigan St., Michigan, and UCLA

What’s up with Wisconsin…scored 109 points against Iowa? Have the Badgers gone uptempo? Also …Illinois had an impressive road win at Oregon scoring 110+ points!
Wisconsin his 21/31 from 3 vs a team that never plays defense.

Illinois, while very good, also hit 16/29 from 3.

When teams hit over 50% from 3 on high volume, they’re very difficult to beat if th e other team is unable to match that 3P%

We need.......................

Both have family ties to Purdue, but I would not rule out them testing the market as I feel they probably believe that they could be much more effective in a different offensive scheme. That’s just my take on the situation. Wouldn’t be completely taken aback if there was a departure.
I’d be pretty disappointed tbh. Don’t think it happens, especially with schools able to pay directly next year.

And I don’t think they can just “test” the waters and come back…i would think paint would say you’re here 100% or not.

I come to bury the playoffs, not to praise them

Yea I think we should get rid of the NCAA tourney. No way 68 teams should be playing for it. Let's just pick the winner. No need to ever even play the games.
Hot take here, but I actually think the NCAA tournament is a terrible way to crown a champion. It is a great event that everyone loves, but there shouldn’t be 68 teams in it. Too much random nonsense.

I agree in that both are good enough shooters that I can’t imagine that they don’t work their way out of their slumps but both are really struggling. I’m not so sure that they break out of it anytime soon.

Edit: The above probably comes off more negatively than I intended. I also wouldn’t be surprised if either came out and hit 4 of 5 in the next game. Really hard to tell with shooters.

What a Silly post. Sour Grapes much? Your id is Born Boiler? What in the world do you care about Oregon? As A Purdue Basketball fan and Notre Dame football Fan I love the College Playoffs. My only issue is with the seedings and the byes... The Playoffs should be either lowered to eight teams or expanded to 16 removing the byes completely. Adjustments will likely be made next season more likely how the seedings were done. With legal betting soo much part of sports let the odds makers who have no emotion when forming sports lines determine the seedings.

Back to your post every Division college football team knew about the playoffs this season and the rules. No one's fault Oregon didn't show up against Ohio St except Oregon. BY your logic there should be no NCAA Basketball tournament and whatever Team finishes #1 in College Basketball should win the National Championship.
16 is definitely the way to go. Going to 8 would have left out Ohio State, Tennessee, Indiana and SMU. 16 would have added Bama, Ole Miss, South Carolina and the SEC people would have maybe been happy(if they could win a game). FCS does 16 and they couldn't careless what happens in the first or second round. I mean no one seems to care what happens in the first round of the NCAA tourney when there are blowouts. This year has been no different than the 4 team playoffs either. Plenty of blowouts like years past.

Oregon should be sitting home right now with the national championship trophy after going 13-0 while all the other alleged contenders were taking on losses.

That trophy was true through a good many of our lifetimes, before colleges went pro. The best team with the best record got the national title. Pretenders had to shut up because they hadn’t put up, even when given one last bowl showdown.

No way do 12 college football teams deserve a shot at the national championship after playing 12-game seasons plus conference final exams. That plain sucks. It’s more watered-down than the Titanic. Or the players’ academic transcripts.

What do you tell a team with two black eyes? Nothing. They’ve already been told twice. Anyone with more than one loss deserves no more than bowling in their wife-beater shirts. Three? Slink on to sweet home, Alabama. Pay back your NIL.

Oregon won every time out while Ohio State was gagging twice, including its big league showdown with the Ducks and a massive choke against a five-time loser, yet one rematch win by the Buckeyes over the understandably flat Ducks erased all that. Should an unbeaten team have to face an already conquered victim, a two-loss conference opponent, in the quarterfinal round of some damned playoffs? Hell no.

Want playoffs? Give the unbeaten Big Ten champion a mulligan to make amends for a single loss, fluke or not. Consolation bracket, anyone? Just like the playoffs are now, that would be only fair. And just fair.

2025 Starting Secondary

I have a lot of hopium right now, but I'm rather liking how the team is coming together and the players were getting and have returning. Hopefully it turns in to results on the field!
With what Odom was dealt id say he’s done a okay job with the portal so far and that’s no knock on Odom…Purdue is a hard sell right now but I guarantee Odom is going to work his butt off to change that! There is a lot of work still to be done in the portal but I think thats going to change in the next couple of weeks.

Michigan St., Michigan, and UCLA

Have a jump on the BT title. Michigan State has two road wins and has the easiest schedule remaining. Michigan has a major road win @ Wisconsin and has the second easiest schedule. UCLA has a major road win @ Oregon and is by far the best defensive team, but has the second toughest BT schedule with 11 Quad 1 matchups still to play. Illinois is still a factor, but seem to be great one game and then look pretty bad against NW and have 10 Quad 1 matchups left. Purdue has 10 Quad 1 games left 5-H 5-A. Poor IU has the toughest schedule left with 13 Quad 1 matchups, 6-H 7-A. Oregon is probably toast with 2 home losses. Wisconsin and Ohio State both have a home loss.

And should we baseball fans return to 1968 and just have a world series? No playoffs? No NCAA tournament? No high school state tournaments? Oregon has their trophy. The one they deserve.

Harris botches the Pledge of Allegiance!

No. Just a lack of basic intelligence. But now that you mention it. She did fit the criteria Joe laid out for his VP candidate before he even started vetting anyone. So, yeh, definitely a DEI hire, by definition.
It's funny that you mention basic intelligence. There was once a vice president that could not spell potato in front of children on the national media stage. He was corrected by an elementary school student on national TV.

IU did not deserve to be in CFP. Great article by USA Today

Yeah, he played well vs. most of the lower tier teams on their schedule. I wouldn't give the ACL tear an excuse when losing to better teams/programs.

I didn't find anything confirming when the actual tear took place or how long he's had it.

Oregon proves the point that good teams can win against top teams but also get manhandled vs those same teams. IU not so much......
He has torn it 3 times, most recently in august. In 2017 sindelar played a substantial part of the season on a torn acl and played some of his best football. Broc Thompson played on a shredded knee only to be bowl game mvp and then retired.

All are remarkable feats but indiana is making this out to be like they were handicapped. They still had a stellar performance from him and no one would have even known he was hurt. His coaches didn’t even know he kept it from them.
