You mean to tell me we didn’t roadtripI actually think that is Oregon's third HOME loss. No way they can compete for B10 title with 3 home losses. They are done....unless they have a remarkable turnaround.
Going to be a great plane ride home.
Be safe Boilers!
I thought Harris' game was good all around. Colvin's was better in areas as you mentioned, but I thought he played a bit timid.Colvins defense and rebounding were great tonight. Shoulda been and F1 on Bittle when he foiled Colvin from behind. Not a basketball play and made no attempt at a basketball play. They called some ticky tack on Myles first half and that foul on the alley oop to bottle was god awful.
Colvin’s defense was better than cox and Harris tonight, so I’d assume you’d give them B- or lower?
True I want to see some things when I get to watch it againwe could never really pull away from them, I think we caught a break w/ Ducks settling for outside shots instead of attacking the basket like they did in the first half
Can you believe it was even worse looking last year?!…. Walks onto that hideous floor and overcomes ridiculous officiating, blatant thuggery, and crappy shooting to muscle out a statement win….
Hail Purdue! 👍👍👍
Totally agree. That’s part of his role but he is timid a lot. Cam had a few of those where he pump faked (no one ever bites) and then the defender closes out so he can’t shoot it. Wish he’d shoot it right away.True but at times Cam was not guarded and he never looked at the basket. In this game where it is physical inside and they are laying in the lane and Cam is open, he has to test the water early. I know he never felt it, but 21 was dedicated to help in Trey some. After Cam hit the three he wasn’t as open. 😁
Is it okay for you to get a job based on the color of your skin if you're not the most qualified?I don’t think you answered my previous question. Was or is it ok for firemen to give exam answers and hire their sons, and other family members regardless of qualifications? Was it ok for whites to hire other whites in general regardless of qualifications? Was it ok for cities to hire white only construction contractors regardless of qualifications?
Shows we can win in different ways and can also win when the 3 ball ain’t falling. So it tells me if we DO have 3s falling at our usual %, we are going to be in a very good position to win games.same here, thought this would be a L, makes up for the A&M game

They called some ticky tack on Myles first half and that foul on the alley oop to bottle was god awful.I was going to come on here and tell you I thought Colvin played decent defense and had a better game. Then came the poor pass and the foul. I'll still give him a B grade for the defense.
Heide played well today and should get more time going forward.
Cox and Harris continue to improve in all areas of the game and by this time next season should be unbelievable.
I want DEI gone for this reason...I want folks hired because they're the best qualified, regardless of gender or pigmentation. DEI hinders that and tells folks of color they're not smart enough nor good enough to do it on their own which I think is absolute bovine defecation. It provides folks a broken crutch for them to stand on.I ain’t claiming anything. This hs been going on for decade and y’all know it. Look it up. This practice was all the time in big cities in the NYC, Boston, Chicago, etc. If you want to know how affirmative action was started im the first place this was one of the reasons.
This is why y’all want to get to get rid of DEI. To get back to the old way of hiring whites only. Make America great again, right.
same here, thought this would be a L, makes up for the A&M gameI’m proud of the Boilers. Overcame a lot to win two on the road. Well done.
once in the 2nd half, Heide did put the ball on the floor for a drive but stopped at the FT line, had a nice gameTrue but at times Cam was not guarded and he never looked at the basket. you can see the confidence in Harris game as the season has moved on, more confident shot and FT's. As far as Colvin, I was just glad he didn't get injured going up for that dunk by that big goof.I was going to come on here and tell you I thought Colvin played decent defense and had a better game. Then came the poor pass and the foul. I'll still give him a B grade for the defense.

We are going to like this freshman class. BTW 3 years ago the older Purdue players were talking about a couple of freshmen that didn’t play like freshmen and were full of confidence and now the rest of the country gets to see themCam Heide was definitely more confident/engaged today - chipped in big with 9 points and 4 boards. Myles Colvin looked a little frustrated at times, but he had some good moments on defense......got taken out with some nickel/dimers to me, and the and-one with Bittle was ridiculous as DJ was out of position (yeah - I sound like Shooter I know.... )
Harris was definitely pumped up and confident to be out there in crunch time and he delivered in his role big time. He can also embrace the physicality unlike most freshman. Very good gut-check back alley brawl win for the Boilers.

Their job is to defend, score a bit and rebound. They had 10 pts, 6 boards and 2 steals. Colvin played great defense on Shelstead. They did their jobs. If we can get 8–12 ppg and 6-10 rebounds between the two of them with good defense, then that’s helping out the team. If they can get more than that, then that’s even better. They’re playing their roles well.
Just like CJ and Harris are.
we could never really pull away from them, I think we caught a break w/ Ducks settling for outside shots instead of attacking the basket like they did in the first halfA win is a win. Man was it ugly though. Should have been a blowout with them scoring 0 points for like 7 minutes.

No west coast team looks like a top 5 BT team and their records are starting to reveal that.

Second half the officials were more balanced. Oregon went into a scoring abyss largely due to solid defense by the Boilers. I am so happy to have a reinvigorated Furst.
Burgess was questionable and that air ball was mind bending. I would have though Berg would have been helpful against Biddle but in Painter we trust. I still think Colvin and Heide need to figure out what the french toast they did with their game. Cox and Harris are playing ferocious defense, I love that even if they barely score.
I hope we win the next 5 in a row and defend home court but we as always will have a target on our backs. Momentum is singing Hail Purdue right now, let's hope they don't forget the lyrics.
