Herschel Walker: Ambassador to the Bahamas

If he picked a white guy you would say why is Trump only picking white guys. He picks a black guy and you don’t like that either. No matter who he picked seems you would have an issue with them.
If it were Biden picking someone black for anything, y'all would have said it was a DEI hire, right?

Be honest now. Do you actually think that Hershel Walker is qualified to do anything in a presidential administration? Before you answer, think back to when Walker ran for GA governor in 2018.

What happened to Tim Scott, Byron Donalds, and Mark Robinson? They sure tap danced for Chump this year and came up empty handed when it was time for cabinet and administration selections.

How long can Boiler Basketball avoid being portaled?

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.
I do think we have a lot of young talent. I think it unlikely anyone leaves from the core 3. I think DJ is a very good player.

I also think we are thin at frontcourt depth, that we can't expect everyone who shows flashes to automatically progress to stardom, and that a backup big and maybe another Jones type is the difference between a Sweet 16 to Final 4 type squad.

The team as constituted could make a final 4, but you'd need a pretty narrow slice: no injuries, everyone develops, no departures. That's a bit inside straight.
I’d like to think a particular strength of what CMP has in place at Purdue is a pretty straightforward sales pitch to potential recruits — an ultimate meritocracy, where if you develop and produce, top-shelf competition and visibility await you— along with the $$, and the NBA pedigree preparation will be there for you in spades…

Will there be players who bolt for what they think will be greener pastures? sure, but IMO this will be mitigated by those who buy in, and who flourish— both financially and in terms of development for the next level

Potential big news for Saturday

Yeah I just have a different perspective. Rather face them injured when a title or tournament is on the line rather than the reg season. This teams needs to keep getting challenged to the maximum degree in the reg season to get ready for post season. Painter has won enough in the reg season non con. Everything should be geared toward March which is why painter put this game on the schedule to begin with. Im sad we may miss them at full strength.
If Painter wanted to give the team a break he and get their confidence back he would have scheduled a cupcake. Now is the time to be challenged and grow before big ten play starts.
They will be plenty challenged even without him. PSU challenged the hell out of us

Purdue Ladies played basketball last night?

How many years are we going to rebuild?
And to rebuild you first have to have built something in the first place.

Shea Ralph at Vandy, took over a massive trainwreck where most of the team left because of Stephanie White's toxic coaching, this is her 4th year, currently in the others receiving votes for top 25

Moseley at UWisc, took a dead program 4 years ago and has slowly but steadily built them up to almost respectable.

Brooks at UK, first year after they went 12-20. 11 new players, only a couple of carry overs from last season and ranked #16 nationally.

Green at UIll third year. 9-2 record this season and in the others receiving votes

Minnesota Plitzuweit in her second year taking over a poorly run program from Lindsey Whalen. Won 20 games last year and is 11-1 this season, but only 1 game against a quality opponent and Nebraska blew them out.

Fralick in her second year at Michigan State. 31-9 overall record, 10-0 this season with wins over Cal, Vandy and Iowa. Ranked 15th nationally.

I agree that you have the Standford, Texas, Penn State, Wisky Nebraska's dominating but teams like Louisville, Pitt, Kentucky, etc. have also broken through at times. It's definitely not like MBB where it seems that there's a wider range of teams with a legitimate chance to win it, but with Purdue's recruiting they seemed to have a shot at making that leap. Obviously it didn't happen this season and this will be difficult to deal with.
I’m admittedly ignorant about women’s’ VB, Shondell always seemed to be a pretty astute guy….

He seemed to have a solid culture in place —is there really no money for Hudson and Ciccone?? Both appeared to embrace the culture at Purdue .

Agreed
They averaged 450 yds a game this season - almost 300 yds passing and 150 on the ground, while scoring nearly 30 pts a game.
If that’s bad, I’ll take it.
Yes to this! Great balance!
USC offense also lead the BigTen in passing yards a game and ranked 3rd in total yards but their defense was really bad and ranked towards the bottom 25% of the BigTen for yards given up so I don’t think it’s hard to figure out what side of the ball was the problem.

Potential big news for Saturday

Maybe in the FF, but this team right now needs to right the ship and get some confidence back.

Purdue Volleyball Conspiracy

I agree , the Jersey hanging in the rafter idea doesn’t fly . Maybe regretting it when they are 50 but not now . It’s always about the money and can’t blame them
I have no idea as to NIL money involved for Hudson, but if Purdue was within 70-80% of her best offer and there wasn't any other overriding factor, I believe a little wisdom shared from the parents would make the legacy banner a consideration.

USC offensive ave 2 yds a game more than IU...I'll take it....USC problem hasn't been their offense in recent yrs...their defense has been awful.
