NFL Draft

It’s not. When you have a 36 year old coming off of injury with only 2 years guaranteed on his contract, if you like the guy and he’s there…why not take him?Feels like a waste of cap space. They'll have a chance to get a new QB down the road. It's also weird that they're drafting Cousins' replacement before he even played a down.
Jordan Love got exponentially better not playing immediately. So much so id put him above Trevor Lawrence and maybe even Justin Herbert (who were both “can’t miss” guys) with vastly LESS in game experience.
Can never have enough insurance in thr NFL and the Falcons thought they’d be fine at DE and DT with the guys on their board being still available much later.
Also, talk is the NFL informed them they were losing their first round pick next year due to the cousins tampering stuff….which makes it harder to quickly draft your replacement next year…
Don’t get the hate on Penix. The injuries are a concern but he was great when healthy and probably should have won the heisman this year IMO. Can’t hate on the strategy to set yourself up at QB for the next 4 years.
