I am sorry I did not mean to imply that. Maybe I should say it this way. As a young man, I was a Christian and I would drink, fight, tell dirty jokes and I slept with a ton of women. This changed when I got older and I realized that as a Christian I had to be a light to others. I stopped sleeping around, stopped drinking to excess, I drastically cut down on my cussing and I did my best to help everyone I came in contact with - even if it was only a smile. My objective was for people to say that Todd is a Christian and he demonstrates it in every phase of his life.

I am also sensitive to others who are female, who are not white, who are homosexual, to other religions or non-religious even to people who are not drop dead gorgeous (yes that was a joke). I do this to show I love my neighbor not to prove that I think I am better than anyone else.

I am saying that if you identify yourself as whatever my suggestion is that you want to represent that well. If you ever get fired for whatever reason, consider it all joy, because you will come back stronger than ever.

My biggest concerns were the economy where economic cycles showed an upcoming recession in 2017. Trump did many various things to avoid that. My 2nd concern was securing the border. We had 3 Presidential Administrations including Congressmen campaigning on SECURING the border; yet we have over 20 million illegals, a growing hard drug epidemic and a rising sex slave industry. I have talked to border agents and they all say to build the wall. President Trump is doing that plus he is enlisting Mexico's help. Third was NATO not paying their fair share, trade imbalances and China stealing our IP. That is being stopped. NATO is paying and trade looks more favorable. Fourth was nuclear war with N Korea and Iran. DC Political corruption,which we found out included top officials at the FBI and billions designated to fight poverty in inner cites that is being diverted. I thought that if Trump could accomplish 2 of the 5, he would be the best President in the past 30 years. It looks like he may accomplish 3 possibly 4 making him by far the best President in my lifetime. If he get all 5 - best ever!

The media purposely creates division by accusing Trump of being a racist and bigot. Is it working? Hillary paid her female staff $.61 on the dollar whereas Trump Enterprises comprised of more female VP's than males. Today the middle class is winning. More people are working and food stamps are at an all time low. Unemployment is down and it just isn't because the last administration had people working part time jobs (so companies did not have to provide free health care). Thus lower food stamps needed. Black and Hispanics are earning more per hour and their unemployment is at an all time low.

Another example of the media propaganda is N Korea. The media keeps pointing out that N Korea is still keeping their nuclear weapons. They don't mention how after 60 years of pleading, they gave over our dead soldier remains. They handed over hostages without us having to send in a plane with a boat load of cash (see Iran). We can always expect a recession is around the corner. The fact is right now the economic signs are showing a thriving economy. However, the media is predicting a recession is soon coming. IMO, they are hoping that by spreading this propaganda there will be a recession in 2020 and people will blame Trump. If that happens,we will get a typical DC Politician who will turn things back to status quo where everything will go back to power and corruption.

There are 3 cases pending before the Supreme Court set for argument in this October term. As described by NBC, "two of the cases involve discrimination based on sexual orientation: a suit from Gerald Bostock, a gay man fired from his job as a child welfare services worker by Clayton County, Georgia, and a suit on behalf of the late Donald Zarda, a gay man fired from his job as a skydiving instructor by New York company Altitude Express. The third case involves Aimee Stephens, a transgender woman who was fired from a Detroit funeral home after she informed her employer that she was beginning her gender transition."

Your last example in your informative post, is difficult for me to judge. If one hires a man then you expect to have a man working for you and now instead, you will have a woman or vice-versa. Depending on what the woman was hired to do, a man may or may not be appropriate for that work. I understand that this is not the issue on which this case will be decided but it made me realize that unintentional problems arise when a person who already holds a job or position then transitions. If one hires a woman to model women's clothing and the woman then transitions to a man, can she be fired or is that discrimination?

It would be my guess that the question would be whether the model was still capable of modeling as a woman. For instance, if the model was hired as a lingerie model for bras and underwent hormonal therapy that made it impossible/unreasonable to be capable of performing the job it would seem to me to be non-actionable, but that would be my guess. I would look toward the concept of actual ability to perform the job as it existed when hired but under the current circumstances. Ultimately, does the gender reassignment prevent the performance as necessary to perform the job as it exists? Facial skin model now growing beard...

Until SCOTUS rules it will be in flux. The general rule is, absent an employment contract, employees at will can be fired for no reason or any reason, absent the ability to show it is a firing for some particularly legally protected attribute.

Anyone can claim anything they want in their lawsuit. How do we know they weren't fired for being bad at their job? I'm sure there also lawsuits pending by white, straight, Christian, conservative males who will claim they were fired because of their political views.
But, I doubt in any of these cases, they'll be able to prove they were fired just for being gay. It's very likely performance related.
