There are 4 recognized strains of flu with many subtypes adding up to 144 known subtypes. It is not “The flu” as one must note the strain and subtypes. Flu vaccine is “designed” each year of a mixture of strains (subtypes of) for what research shows will be the makeup of the flu virus for that year. Most of the time the vaccine is a good match but sometimes not because of flu mutations as the flu season progresses. The 1918 flu that killed 30 to 50 million people world wide was an A strain but I don’t know the exact subtypes. The 1918 flu killed many, many more when it reappeared and that is one of the concerns with Covid.

I guess you keep talking about the virus itself because you have nowhere else to turn. Otherwise I don't know what the hell it has to do with getting infected.
Restrictions are not a lockdown. Maybe you just misspoke.
Just keep focused on how Trump's (almost literally) self inflicted wound didn't change the virus...........whatever that means. Keep talking about how Joe was in the basement as the separation between their polling numbers grow. You could then talk about the poll numbers 4 years ago and how that turned, denying all the factors that are different now. You should also keep thinking that trump's recovery will spur more voters to choose him while there are Americans all over this country telling themselves that if the president can get it, they can too and maybe they should take more precautions. The example Trump has just set doesn't really help your "no restrictions" argument.
Are you actually denying the fact that Biden has taken down the negative ads? Are you that far gone?
Restrictions are lockdowns and they are causing many businesses to go under and people to lose their jobs. Are you suggesting the restrictions should stay in place until the virus is gone? Hint: the virus is never going to be gone just like the flu.

Biden had stopped the negative ads. It doesn’t mean the PACs that he doesn’t endorse aren’t. But continue to be a hypocrite given that the trump campaign has said it’s going to continue with theirs against Biden.

I guess you keep saying the virus will never go away like the flu to justify your no restrictions argument. I don't know if Covid will never go away, but.......unlike the flu.......we still don't know enough about it, all the ways it's transmitted, how immunity is developed and its duration, how many strains, how it's mutating..........and moist of all, a vaccine. And thanks to trump........and it's completely on him......we have a significant portion of this country refusing to take proper precautions to stop the spread. More disturbingly, there are STILL people who believe this is all a conspiracy, that there is no virus. Maybe they will believe now.

So there is no consensus by any means on the public health benefits of lockdowns, but there is complete consensus that lockdowns have severe negative impacts on people’s mental and economic well being and disastrous impacts on the economy.

Yeah, if you believe he is in the hospital for a relatively mild case but received a treatment that has been given to less than 300 patients (i.e. very limited sample size to understand any risks but sure why not use POTUS as a guinea pig it is not like he has a kind of important job in case he has an adverse reaction) and remdesivir which is not indicated for mild cases, I have a beautiful bridge that you might be interested in buying.
For national security reasons, they are never going to say he is very sick. The linguistic gymnastics going on about supplemental oxygen make clear that this is more than just precautionary. It is the same reason that when Reagan was shot the White House significantly downplayed the severity until he was in the clear. Hope he has a full and speedy recovery but I would not put significant weight on that press conference. It had multiple audiences.

It’s never going away, and there is nothing Trump could have done better. Wear masks in large crowds (until the vaccine). Other than that there should be no restrictions.

My concern is not about being able to do things. My concern is for the economy and people losing their jobs due to the restrictions. Thankfully our governor realized that and lifted all the capacity restrictions. Florida did they same (it’s great weather here right now). New York and California will probably lift their restrictions around 2030.

They obviously had no mask requirements. There were folks hugging and kissing each other. No wonder they got the virus. Christie is too old and fat to get this virus.
