We need.......................

I 100% disagree with them leaving.
Both have family ties to Purdue, but I would not rule out them testing the market as I feel they probably believe that they could be much more effective in a different offensive scheme. That’s just my take on the situation. Wouldn’t be completely taken aback if there was a departure.

I’d be pretty disappointed tbh. Don’t think it happens, especially with schools able to pay directly next year.

And I don’t think they can just “test” the waters and come back…i would think paint would say you’re here 100% or not.

I think we as fans put a little too much into the loyalty aspect of college players. It's a different game now with the portal, ease of transfer, NIL, etc. For some players, these are as much business decisions as they are about where a player dreamed of playing or where his parents/relatives played.

I hope they stay as well, but if Painter decides to hit the portal, those are the two positions of need. The comparisons with Newman are spot on. Flashes of brilliance followed by long stretches of 'meh'.
Colvin was pretty damn good yesterday on defense and his offense came alive a bit. Heide looks very timid and back to his first of the season ways. Not sure why and maybe that’s just who he is.

Colvin isn’t leaving. Heide…I’d give 20%

I think Purdue will have to put together a competitive offer, just like they did this year. I think Braden recognizes what he has at Purdue and wouldn’t look to go elsewhere unless the money were so much greater that he couldn’t say no.

This is all based on the assumption that Purdue has a decent season. If they’re not winning, Braden may be tempted to go somewhere where he has a chance to make it back to the final four.
If you have a Boiler background (watch the games), I don't see how you could think this won't be a top 10 team next year. Including team members.

I hope MC stays, but if he and his family have pro hopes, (whether realistic or not), that could factor into his decision.

I've watched games for 50+ years. Too many unknowns to say who is where next year.

So all conjecture, but if our big 3 stay, and no additional players added.....we still are not a FF type team.....8th or 20th. NC/FF should be the goal with a senior Braden as the cornerstone.

I think with a generational player, & senior in Braden, I would hope player(s) are added like the staff did with the generational player Edey was in his projected last year Get the right guys and we increase our chances. Get no one and the %es likely go closer to zero..
