I agree, I think if Myles was in the position of being given the opportunity in the offense that Jaden was or Fletcher has we might see a different Myles. I believe he’s playing his expected role he’s been given within the current Purdue offensive scheme. I guess what I’m saying is that if he was put in fletches roll with motions being run for him I believe he could be highly effective. Maybe I’m wrong 🤷🏼‍♂️

no question different types of play are better for different players...no question

I have always like Blackwell's game.....had 18 in the game @ Mackey last season.

Blackwell is already much more skilled. He can be unstop at times. Saw that versus Purdue.He just needed to learn to fit in with Wisky style and coach had to free him up a bit.

To say that Cam and Myles have seen it all is inaccurate, IMO. I think Cam has played more than 20 minutes something like 8 times in his career and Myles has about the same. In the vast majority of games last year each played fewer than 15 minutes. I'm not advocating for more minutes at this point, particularly if they're not shooting well, but both are pretty green from a development standpoint.

I don't expect either to develop into a 'go-to' scorer or primary ball handler, although Myles did show last year that he could get his own shot on pull-ups. They need to hit open shots and continue to improve in their execution of team defense.

These guys both played in a NC game last year. They've faced plenty of high level competition in their 2 years as regulars in the rotation. Both lack consistency on offense and neither has added any dribble/drive to their game.
MC has definitely improved on defense.

We have seen that before with players with very little chance of making the pros. However, in this case the dad was a pro athlete .I would hope he can see that Myles likely is not going that route. If Myles goes to a better program, he gets buried behind great talents. If he goes down a notch, he could show better, but the NBA will look at his lower level competition and how he did versus higher level teams with Purdue.

But, he could got to a P5 program where he could be the #2 (or 1) option on offense and get to hoist up 15 shots a game. With Smith and Loyer on the floor, and if CJ continues to develop, he'll never be the 1 or 2 option.

Ok so, I see your points. But playing a few mins here and there and not having the ball in your hands or being involved, is very different than what you’re referring to.

Neither have had much of opportunity TO develop in an actual game setting. They don’t get sets ran for them like the big 3 do. If you have ever played organized basketball, practice and games are completely different. It’s tough to keep your confidence/get your in game skills up, if you dont have the ball as much as others.

They very well may have some skills that you don’t think they have but you also don’t know if they are told to only do certain things in games.

For example, last year, Myles role was to come off the bench and hit the open 3 if it was there. If it wasn’t, get the ball to Zach. He wasn’t asked to do much more.

Completely agree with the statement above. Their recent shooting struggles are really strange. I'd argue that Myles has regressed in his dribble-drive game as he showed a promising two dribbles into a pull-up move last season that we haven't seen this year.
