We could use a linebacker with that kind of potential, but he would need to bulk up while keeping that speed. I’m good with the risk though. Worst case he could be a hybrid safety.
I would like Brohm to go after Jacoby, the OH OL. Not sure if Brohm would take another OL, but he seems like he would be able to get on the field pretty quick.
Underrated from Urban’s surrender is that Harbaugh will never beat Urban while at Michigan. Wonder if Jimmy is out poppin bottles to celebrate since he doesn’t have to worry about getting ready for the playoffs.
Word on the street is that the grind of playing IU every year finally wore him down.
Are there any other B1G coaches with a winning record against Urbs, or is Brohm an answer to a trivia question?

You over sign the OL and DL...football teams can't live up to their potential when they are weak there. If Purdue had solid depth on both sides of the ball there, Purdue would have likely won 8 or 9 games this season.
Yes, but hopefully by the time Brohm is done at Purdue, that will be the assumption in people's mind
I think that Urban’s brain cyst is what’s really the issue here. Supposedly he gets really bad headaches.
and likely made worse from the stresses of coaching and traveling. Coaching a D1 program is hard and tiring. If he has actual health issues, then he has made enough money to be able to retire nicely and enjoy his life. I'm sure he'll grab a gig with ESPN or Fox..heck, maybe BTN. I'll say that OSU is taking a bit of a gamble on Ryan Day even though he is well regarded in the coaching world. Would have thought Fickell or Campbell would have been a better fit, IMO.
OSU actually played better when Day was acting HC early in the season than when Urban coached, except for the Michigan game.
Good riddance. The lack of accountability for his involvement in covering up for that assistant coach left me cold.
I believe like at Florida, he'll take a year off and then return somewhere. I wouldn't be shocked if he went to the ESPN booth for a year, and then returned to someplace like USC, Florida or FSU. I could really see Southern Cal reaching out to him to come back next year.
That's the prevailing opinion about USC. Helton got himself another year but his staff is being replaced in what might be a last chance type of thing. Notre Dame would be enticing to Urbz but there's no sign of Kelly going anywhere even if they lose 45-7 to Clemson.
Yep, their massive offense and the development of Haskins was all Day. Their offense will keep rolling but not so sure about their recruiting and defense. Don't expect OSU to take a big step backwards. Many of us were laughing when they hired a small college HC named Tressel back in 2000.
I think this is right. Meyer has a serious medical issue with that cyst on his brain. It causes terrible headaches due to the pressure caused by the fluid build-up. He will have to have another operation I’m sure.
