Without going to the article I would guess it's written by Mark Titus, or at least influenced by him. I think he has an excellent take on college basketball and is a Big Ten guy, grew up in Indiana and walked-in at OSU with Oden and Conley. He loves Vince and has a decent podcast for NCAAB on the Ringer (would be better if his co-host didn't suck).
