Swanigan's effort

The kid was at South 4 straight off days working out at 6 a.m with DG @ always 1hundo. I would say....he wants it very badly!

If he's not a first round choice, I don't understand basketball.
The NBA doesn't always translate to the college game. I'm not saying he's not a 1st round pick, because I think he is, but I've also thought that about other players that got passed up.

The difference between he and Green is Greens ability to defend any position on the floor. I do believe he will find a spot on a roster, I think his game resembles more of Al Horford/Celtics

Candidly, I think Green can handle the ball better right now. CS is an underrated passer, but he hasn't had that many opportunities to really demonstrate his skill, IMO. One of the announcers in a recent game was off on that I thought, though he did mention CS' ability to pass from the high post.

Still needs some "work" on his open-floor game on both ends, but he has made great strides from last year and getting better on limiting TO's. The kid is a tremendous worker and competitor; I wouldn't put anything past him. Very glad he chose to be a Boilermaker regardless of how much longer we're privileged enough to get to see him on the team.

It'll be fun to see Swanigan go up against the freshman Ward at MSU as they are almost carbon copies of each other. One shoots better and the other blocks better, but everywhere else, height, build, length, hands, effort, touch...all very similar.

Swanigan's effort to improve his skills is one thing - but what he's done to transform his body is legendary. I don't watch NBA much, but I hope he makes bank.

I think Biggie will eat Ward's lunch. Kid is not in the same kind of shape. More like Biggie was last year. Biggie is much more polished at this point.

You're right, their freshmen physiques and conditioning are similar though I'd definitely give the freshmen season nod to Ward. Development wise, at the same age, Ward is just further along. Swanigan is playing like a beast this season though and one would expect him to have the edge. It's still fun to watch two big and skilled bodies go at it.

I get what you're saying but it is possible to appreciate both the college and the pro game even with their differences. I prefer the college game but there is no better athlete on earth than a star NBA player.

So elite that they often can't play in back to back games.

It's hard to overstate how hard Swanigan works out there. I love watching him rebound the ball. He gets a lot of boards that other players in the same position wouldn't get.

I agree and that is an excellent attribute for your best player to exhibit. That gives me hope against the elite teams.
