I can't believe Mark Pope didn't take his starters out with 9.9 seconds left.
These last minutes of games have to be averaging about 22+ minutes - between fouling, extended time-outs, and reviews for every single call......goodness gracious.

CSU/UM game is fun to watch. Morton doing lots of good things.
Morton played great defense on that last play too. Sometimes they just go in.
I'd probably have doubled as soon as he got the ball. Not much time left for a pass and good shot.
3. They slso missed a clear travel earlier. But those offest the missed flagrant

They aren't calling that gather step on a last second shot. Not saying it didn't look like a travel, just saying refs aren't making that call.

As a Purdue fan, I'm certain that would have been called a travel if PU had made that shot.
On a different subject, I looked on the internet to see if they could review the 1st half flagrant during halftime. The internet said yes. Anybody ever hear of a review that late after the play?
How much time was left in the half when it happened?
Didn't they look at a call in a Purdue game recently after a couple more plays had happened? They ended up not calling an F1, but I remember thinking it was very wrong.

The SEC had quite a day. Florida, Kentucky, Bama, Ole Miss all into the Sweet 16.
It's been a so-so day for B1G so far: Illinois came up short. MD scraped by. MSU limped out of the gate against New Mexico but has a small lead midway through the 2nd half. Oregon jumped on Zona early, but has fallen behind at halftime.

Sure and refs ain't calling that on a final shot particularly when it was relatively close.
Hope Oregon has another push or two left. But, if not, four is pretty good.

yeah, I also counted when everyone was saying travel. Ethan did fine on D...just better O without a travel.
Jay Wright agreed - can't fault the defense there (very solid) and forced Queen out of the paint and into a difficult shot without fouling. Credit Queen, he's got some moxy and touch and wanted the ball - also pretty good awareness to bank it.....but yeah, that's probably what 2 or 3 out of 10 maybe at best? It went down, and now that's all that matters.
I have liked Florida a LOT.....and still do, but if I'm looking at all the #1-seed matchups in the next round - if I was forced to pick one upset, then I'd say Maryland over Florida - partly on momentum (Maryland had lost a bunch of buzzer beaters up until that one), partly on what Connecticut did......and Maryland's got an ability to physically match-up better than the other three opponents (including Purdue). One caveat is that Maryland flirts on the edges sometimes with poor decisions.

Yeah, I told Kim to watch Queen because he was getting the ball. Prior to that Ethan had frustrated Queen, by just pushing on him and being a nuisance. I told Kim to watch Ethan on D and that on O nobody guarded him and the really good passes and set ups he had by driving the ball. I said it would be great if he hit the winning shot, but I doubt he (or the coach) wants to be in that position even though it would probably be "less" defended than others, but that when it comes to the final shot everybody gets defended to some degree. Queen was just outside the lane and so it was probably about an 8' shot while going to his left. I do agree and LIKE the Maryland coach asking who wants the ball ) because it shows who is confident in making it. Coach has final decision, but you have an idea of which player you may want as well as which player is confident.
