Having said that, you don't have to be a judge in order to sit on the supreme court. There has been about 40 or so supreme court judges that had no prior judicial experience. Therefore if Harris was considered for SCOTUS she would be more than qualified.

There may have been some qualified in the past. It might also be true that others were more qualified to serve in the past than a black woman. I hope you would agree that selecting the absolute best candidate benefits all of us. It has never come up or been an issue where skin color and gender is the first determination of qualification while others will not be considered.
Why didn't Biden say he would appoint the most qualified person regardless of race or gender?
I think Harris commands such little respect internally from both her own administration and definitely from the other side of the aisle, that no one listens to her on anything.
