That was on himHello Catchings? You could have beaten out more than 1 of these players.

Colvin and Heide are both streaky players right now. They tease with a great 15 pts high impact game and then go into hibernation for 3 games
Catchings left on his own.Glad we let Catchings leave
At some point you have to play the other guys (Harris, Cox, Colvin, and Cam) and let them take shots.
The offense as it stands today won’t get it done if those guys aren’t able to score
Painters refusal to use the portal.Love watching Auburn play. Especially on defense. Love their length and athleticism.
Great game to show some of the folks here how far these team is away from being great. It's way more than just another big.
Cox seems better. Don't get why Berg and Harris were the starters and an NBA talent was run off.So far, maybe. Give him time.

And taller and more skilled. We don’t have the talent to compete with elite. Colvin, Heide and Harris just not able to play at this level.Auburn is just too much faster and stronger than us
Is it Painter or is it not us embracing the NIL?Painters refusal to use the portal.
I can't remember the dude but some guard was on this podcast that wanted to go to Syracuse but Boeheim gave him a speech that he wouldn't start. Went elsewhere and played in the NBA. Even Keady knew Big Dog had to have different rules than Linc Darner.Catchings wasn't run off
He can’t dribble or shoot and defense is only ok.Is Harris hurt or have I just missed him?
and TKR misses free throws and cant guard, so its not even that good.Starting to develop some frustration with the team and especially Painter. We are not playing a lot of games and have plenty of practice time. We absolutely cannot rely totally on Smith, TKR and Loyer. I kept track and in the first half Colvin and Heide did not touch the ball in our half court until almost 5 minutes in. Painter has to fix this. We are playing 3 on 5 on offense.
I refrained from agreeing with this. But @bonefish1 is right and so are you. We need those two to do more and the offensive sets we have aren’t working…if they somehow start working in the B1G, I’ll reverse course. But man, we have to do something different than running these long offensive sets that depend on getting the ball back to the PG and then shoot something at the 3-7 second mark of the shot clock.Starting to develop some frustration with the team and especially Painter. Catchings would have helped this team but he was a basket case that I just don't think would have been happy here and his play would have showed it. When was the last time…Purdue lost by 30+ points? Talking basketball, not football.
My only question is....is it Painter restraining them or is it the players...or both???I refrained from agreeing with this. But @bonefish1 is right and so are you. Colvin and Heide (I don’t think through their own fault) just stand out watching the big 3 and don’t even look to attack. When colvin somewhat did in the first half, he got a fouled called (granted he miss the FT). But I think the offense is not set up for Colvin and Heide to attack or look for their own shot.
Hopefully we can somehow change this offensive strategy this year, but if not, it def needs to change next year.
And also, @bonefish1 and @qazplm,I tried to fight it, but I’m now with you both. We need to hit the portal for at least 2-3 scorers. I apologize for arguing about it 😂 you both were right.
Maybe some of these soft players are too happy to be here knowing they get 4 or 5 yearsCatchings would have helped this team but he was a basket case that I just don't think would have been happy here and his play would have showed it. I don't think he wanted to be here.
I think that’s how the offensive sets are set up and that’s what they’re told to doColvin stands in the corner Heide just stands around too
We also need to be able to make shots and not shoot 25%Offense needs so much more ball movement
Way too easy to defend

I'm not going to call anyone soft. Being soft isn't the problem, lack of athleticism at key spots is. Neither Heide or Colvin are particularly quick or creative on drives. They certainly are great leapers and they can shoot the open shot but they aren't intuitive drivers and that limits them both.Maybe some of these soft players are too happy to be here knowing they get 4 or 5 years
I agree. We all are who we are. Athleticism is lacking, doesn't make you soft. I recant. All great kids on this team.I'm not going to call anyone soft. When we have a dominant attention grabbing big it doesn't matter as much because it opens things up for everyone. But we don't so we try to scheme them open which works against lesser defensive teams but not against the better defenses.
The frosh will be nice pieces but none of them are remotely ready. Jacobsen helps some, but we will need more if this team wants to get back to the elite 8 or better.
Painter will need to bite the bullet and be willing to bring in a portal player or two.

I don't believe we have room for 3 unless someone leaves but I also don't believe Painter will bring in that many. It's going to take a ton of convincing to get him to bring in 1.Need 2 or 3
