He's been fantastic, but that was an unnecessary risk and not the right play there.....LOVE how he has stepped up, though.

He’s awesome and Purdue would not be in this game without him. Questioning the decision but not the player.

In the interview following the game Painter says we need to work on defense but idk. Seems a great offense is a good defense. When we are rolling - how about we don't do any substitutions until the run is over. We were up 17, and did some substitutions, and all the sudden it's down to single digits. I mean it is not that the subs are not competent but when someone is running hot - go with the hot hand as long as it is working! It was a great win, but I got seriously nervous when they cut it to 4 points.
They went on their run with some great ball movement and ended up getting the ball inside for layups and dunks. I'm sure that's CMP's point there. It can improve. But we also have to take into account that Arizona is pretty damn good AND a veteran team. We all knew the run would happen. I'm more disappointed in all the 2nd half turnovers than anything else....

I hear you.....also impressed that they took the punches, righted the ship, and delivered in the face of pressure.....when it could have been another deer in the headlights situation. Arizona will be tough all year and a favorite to be 1/2 in the WEST region. This win really helps Purdue down the line. Still.......a long long way to go yet.
