Feels like they should play zone. Don't know if we have the talent to play man to man defense
3rd and 8 , run up the middle for first, joke
we need a coach who can recruit better players. this guy is a joke. going to be a long season(s)
I hope my post doesn't age well, I really do.. but coming off of a 2 weeks to prepare we look horrible on both sides of the ball and the curb stomping at home has begun.
Yeah, Theinemann has been exploited a lot today.
The problem is our recruiting of the lines hasn't been great.
Doesn't matter if you do well elsewhere if you can't block and you can't get off blocks and that's what's happening.
This was my concern watching ISU. I didn't see the level of line play on either side that gave me confidence but I'd hoped that was simply because we were being vanilla.
Apparently it was not.
Now we look like Indiana State did against us. Different league.
Possible targeting not looked at and then they let Card take a shot to the head. We could really use a break here lol
This isn't a scheme issue. It's a talent issue IMO. They are faster, stronger and more talented on both lines, LBs and simply overpowering us.
Staff is going to have to fix that by next season or they're going to be unemployed.

Yikes - (-61 pt differential in 1st Q since 2023) - worst in the nation. That stat tells a lot - digging holes early.
Getting Akers and Colletto flashbacks, but that could also just be generally my life flashing before me.....
