Checking in on our next opponent. Their losses are mostly to very good teams and they have already won THREE B1G road games. Impressive. We had better get out turnover bug squashed or this could be a team that takes advantage.

Agree. I thought before the season that the Iowa, Ohio st., and Nebraska games would be considered "trap" games. Hopefully the teams responds from a subpar performance in Minny and takes care of business.

High turnovers have been what did us in with all of our losses IMO. So your post Top is spot on.

Take care of the ball and hopefully we should be fine. I personally don't care if we win by 1 or 100... just as long as we win

If you look at our good wins, AJ was basically our best player (and took the most shots on the team). If you look at our losses, AJ was not very involved (was not in the top few taking shots).

I don't think there's "one reason" we lose games - but I think a combo of those 2. They, of course, could be interrelated - the more you have other people handling the ball, like a Swanigan, the more turnovers you can have.

All very true, and we have a tendency to play to the level of competion. Factor in we could be down two players again..(stephens definitely out...biggie questionable), this becomes more difficult.

While as said all games are dangerous, I like our matchups better against Nebraska. Ray should be able to handle Shields and Watson and Parker don't have the size to overwhelm PJ. Inside I think we have a obvious advantage that should carry us to a win.

I can't disagree on your points. Turnovers stand out more to me, but you could be right in that it's a couple things and perhaps one does preclude another.

Oh, trust me, turnovers have been a problem. That's where I talk about our strengths being minimized. We have out rebounded every single opponent this season (I believe we're the only team in the country that has done that), yet we have seen our opponents have more shot attempts. Obviously in many situations, if you out rebound an opponent by 10, you'd expect to at least be even or have more attempts than your opponent.

I'm also increasingly worried about our defense. Our FG/3 pt FG defense is 5th and 6th in the conference - far off the mark from our overall defensive stats for the year.

It worries me. Honestly we haven't been playing very well for most of the conference season. Any game against a team not named Rutgers can't be taken for granted with the way we're playing.

Your point is valid. I have also seen AJ and Isaac turn the ball over in the post further reducing their shot opportunities in our losses. They both must stop trying to put ball on the floor when the wings drop to double.

I watched Rutgers play Iowa after we spanked them. They played pretty good that game until the last couple minutes. It was like 8 pts with 3 minutes left. Anymore I don't take anyone lightly even Knights on a given night. I hear you though. I'm just overally paranoid.

Swarming our bigs will continue until we give them a reason to stop. The bigs need to pass out of doubles.
