Minnesota game a big one tonight

A chance to run the winning streak to 9 games. A chance to stay undefeated in conference play. A chance to set up a showdown with Ohio State on Sunday. A chance to bolster our tournament resume by notching a win against a team looking to do the same.

The biggest thing is that 4-0 can very quickly become 4-2 if we drop this one heading into Ohio State. If we can take care of business tonight at home then we're 5-0 going into Ohio State trying to pull an upset to take an unexpected lead in the conference race. Lose to Minnesota and we're going into Ohio State looking to avoid a losing streak while playing on the road against a top 10 team.

So far this team has demonstrated the ability to keep it's eye on the ball. I hope/think that continues tonight and we take care of our home court.

D has been the hallmark this season and will determine the outcome tonight. Minn just shoots and shoots and has one of the best in the country. If we let them go off, they can kill us. They will get some as they shoot enough 3's to make shutting them down totally impossible. But limiting them to a poor % can win this game and, of course, we have to play smart on O also. Should be a good game before what could be a rough game against the Bucks who already beat MD. This team has surprised us all season. Hope that good continues. Whatever happens this is a fun team to watch and this week will not a season make.
