Joe Tiller Tribute Video

Just all the things that have happened this season got me thinking and I decided to watch the Joe Tiller tribute video again. I just broke down with tears in my eyes. Even though I am only 18 and only remember Tiller's last year which was when I really got into Purdue. I just want to thank Joe Tiller for bring a loyal Purdue coach and the win this weekend was for him.

I’m closing on age 52. I remember the Tiller Era as a great time to bea Boiler fan. I shed a lot of tears in front of family on the day of his announced death as it felt like a part of my life had passed. I followed his teams, tailgated, and travelled to several Home and Away games learning about life and history along the side trips on Fridays or Sundays before or returning home. I would not have had those experiences if he was “an average Joe.” Maybe coach Brohm might bring some of that to some new fans. I hope so. I have a bucket list that I plan to work on that involves some of the colleges in the Big Ten that I haven’t seen yet. Just need the schedules to align to see the likes of Rutgers, Maryland and Nebraska.
