To be honest I'm just stunned that the incidents became public at all with Izzo orchestrating things up there. Appling and Payne think they are getting a raw deal.

Typical Izzo. They still get to go on a free trip to Italy so they can "bond" with their team mates prior to the start of the season. I guess the redshirt year for Harris and May, June, and July weren't long enough that they need these two weeks.

Lowering the boom refers to the boom on a sailboat. It's a big beam that if it were to hit you on the head, would knock you out cold.
