1) Izzo - I believe the last time Izzo got a higher ranked player than Swanigan.....was 2003. That kind of put the news today...in perspective for me. Now in fairness to Izzo he has signed a handful of players since 2003 that were ranked just below Swanigan.

2) Defense - My prediction for next year is that for the first time in Painter's career we will see more mixing of defenses. There is too much length in players like AJH, CS, VE, KS, RD, JH....to not mix the defense some. Alternatively with some lineups we can be excellent in traditional Painter defense.

3) Passing - Guessing Decourcy and others haven't seen CS play as often as GBI Brian. The key takeaway today is Purdue just added a player that is very good at posting 12-15 feet from basket.....and then making plays for others...and himself. I don't think some analysts fully appreciate the importance of passing ability. College bball is about making plays in half court. ..we just added a playmaker in half court.

4) crunch time line up - more relevant than who starts.
