Both schools seem to be getting a good chunk of their early offer/plan A guys. As all B1G schools should with their $$$…

Since you are such a math whiz, how many days has it been since IU beat OSU ?
More recently than a Purdue final four, since your cohort wanted to turn a football discussion into a basketball discussion.

I understand the barbs coming my way, and I accept that coming to a rival board. I was just stating some facts. I also know the history of IUFB. Historically we are one of the worst programs in the country.

The last decade is the first time the administration has invested in coaches, facilities, and the program as a whole. I am not expecting a nationally relevant program, but a competitive program isn't unrealistic.

I root for PU football against ND and OSU. That Tyler Trent game was amazing on so many levels.
I am an IU grad and a farmer on the Indiana/Ohio state line. I interact with a bunch of Purdue and OSU fans, and believe me Purdue fans are much less obnoxious.

Exactly. Andy06 = AndyW. This is an old Peegs board trick. The same Loosier uses different accounts to make it look like other people are coming here to agree with their dumb initial take.
Not the same person, sorry to burst your bubble.

I'm sure Omar Cooper committing will help our ranking
Today, yes. Do you think it was just funny timing he committed to Iu less than a week after purdue landed deville? They have their entire senior year to play a lot can change in rankings of players. Deville had just recent offers from Florida State and Louisville clearly on the upswing. Cooper had a lot of offers but most were in the fall. And his best offers were in the middle tier of big ten (wisky, msu, Iowa). Frankly a 3 star offer list.

They try really hard to get our approval and acceptance don't they? Most insecure fanbase I have ever seen.

Why do you iu fans need our approval so badly? I just don't get it. I understand you all think you're the next Alabama, but still the obsessive nature you all have at need our approval here can't be healthy.

Like BBG said, most insecure fanbase ever.

Spin it any way I want? I don’t know why he wouldn’t commit to Purdue over Indiana and I’m not going to speak for him but the timing would lead me to believe it’s possible three new reasons would be 1. he either no longer had a commitable offer and 2. He probably would be the 11th best WR on our roster and would be more difficult to pass up senior Milton Wright, junior ARY, sr Sheffield, Sr Rice, Jr Moore, Jr Burks, Jr Sullivan, So Terrell, Sr Broc Thompson, and Deville and 3. He felt the love from IU after Purdue picked up another WR. Not spinning it but timing would lead me to believe his decision was influenced by Deville committing.

Cooper committed to IU two weeks ago similar to what Bell did with Purdue.

I find it amusing that you guys are always crying about IU fans constantly posting on your site, when 30-40 percent of the sites content is IU related. Honestly we don't come on here looking for you guys approval, we come over here to rub it in your face that our high school coach is head and shoulders better then the six million dollar man.

Your coach is 0-3 in bowl games. Our coach is 2-1 against your “head and shoulders” better coach. Your coach has beaten exactly 1 team that finished the season above .500 (Wisconsin last year was 4-3 and was seriously depleted by Covid when you played them.)

You are seriously deluded. Congrats on recent

I'm glad you feel that way. I hope the rest of the PU fanbase does as well. I'd love to see Coach Brohm there for a long time.

Dude, it is completely irrelevant what the "fan base" thinks. What a vapid post.

hells bells, if some of the "fans" had their way he'd be gone by now. Others would have hired an incompetent, washed up coach.

yours is a long way from "proving" he has what it takes. Is he making progress? Maybe. The jury is still out.

I think if tom allen has anything close to what iu has done in the past two years, we’ll find out exactly how loyal he is to the state of Indiana.

Cooper committed to IU two weeks ago similar to what Bell did with Purdue.
Well if that is the case then his timing after Deville would be unrelated.
He did state though in his interview Indiana stuck with him after he blew out his knee which implies some schools did not.
Regardless if purdue wanted him and did not get him I have to wonder if the debacle with McCulley was a factor.

IU will be lucky to win 1 game in the B1G this year. Last year was a fluke.

There's a pattern that plays out on this board that is amusing to me.

First, a Purdue fan starts a thread about IU with the clear purpose to mock and denigrate IU football.

Second, IU fans respond to the thread (some civilly, many not so much).

Third, the thread evolves into a debate about the merits of the two programs.

Fourth, regardless of the substance of the back and forth, certain Purdue fans conclude that IU fans are insecure and desperately seeking validation to have had the audacity to engage in the discussion started by Purdue fans. It's easier than engaging in the subject matter I suppose.

Fifth: Inevitably the previously described obsessed iu fans makes a comment about Purdue fans calling out the iu obsession while on a Purdue forum. And on a comment they wouldn't even know existed if they weren't here in the first place.

Sixth: As proof by your post, as was earlier mentioned 'engaging' with iu fans is like explaining simple math to a dead squirrel. Which is further proven by the sheer lack of self-awareness of said iu fans.

I started this thread, but with the "clear purpose to mock and denigrate" the IU Star for its breathless cheerleading in covering IU football. I did likewise previously when they pumped ND football with a puff piece talking about how self righteous they are with no "soft" majors at ND - despite programs in gender studies, africana studies, latino studies, and other frivolous subjects.

If you find it amusing, it is because you are part of that large group of people who are easy to amuse - which is probably why you wear clown pants.

What cracks me up is they don't even realize they are being mocked and is immensely hilarious in of itself. Your perpetual and massively successful trolling of that fanbase is nothing short of legendary.

Thanks, but as you know it is pretty easy to troll people who wear clown pants, like Coach Geese and the others.

The Indy Star should blow sunshine on the Indiana program. Indiana is in the best position it's been in since the 80s.

Indiana has beaten Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Nebraska and others the last few years. That's a who's who of college football.....

On top of that, they've played in back to back January bowl games. They are recruiting at a strong level, looking to lock up several more 4* in-state players sooner than later. Lots and lots to like about the program that Tom Allen is building in Bloomington.

But now the IU Star has gone full pay wall and become completely irrelevant. It was seldom worth reading when it was free, now it's pointless to even look at their site.

Thanks for making my point. When I first started visiting this board, it was taken as absolute certainty that IU had a high school coach who would fail, and that Purdue had a rising genius who would right the wrongs of the Hazell era. That Purdue was fated to be much better than IU and that it was laughable for IU fans think otherwise, etc. It's so much easier to deflect with you're "insecure" or "wear clown pants" than deal with the changing reality.

Pretty clear they were blowing that sunshine into a place where the sun don't shine when they wrote that "college football fell in love" with the loosiers, Rev. Coach Leo and his message of love.
