This site says Brohm going...Tennessee Rivals says no contact...The more names being thrown around, the more the smokescreening...

I don't have a horse in the race, but it sounds like a bunch of bull...

Just read a title of a thread on the premium board of UT that Brohm has turned down the offer. I still think that UT is likely trying to put pressure on another candidate that they have reached out to and are waiting to hear from.

Yep, their coaching search has gone completely sideways and they're just throwing out a lot of smoke.

Brohm is not leaving.......I know why and you all know too if you think about it.

So everyone relax and have some faith in a man with great integrity and believes in family. (That's my hint as to why he is staying)

I will expand and give you the key to the answer after he declines the UT offer.

Simple if you think about it.

His son is in the middle school in my school corporation....he loves it there and he is really well liked by the kids and the staff. Doesn't hurt your dad is a rockstar in the community...but I have heard the family loves this area for everything if offers beyond Purdue for their kids. Many of you already know how great West Lafayette is beyond Purdue for academics (West Lafayette and Harrison High Schools) along with the pull of being halfway between to great cities in Indy and Chicago. Unless you have lived in West Lafayette, you don't really understand how great of a town it really is.

Saw on ESPN that Brohm has talked to UT officials but nothing about Brohm leaving.

Coaches go to UT to end their career, if Gundy turned it down considering how much they are willing to pay, that should be a red flag to any coach wanting to go there.

I just seen on ESPN, Brohm accepted Tenn offer, 5 yr 30 million

I've heard nothing but good things about Purdue and West Lafayette. If it were me with a family, I'd chose a job for life as long as you consistently win 7 or 8 games a year. On top of that would you rather have a recruiting base that includes Chicagoland with your closest conference neighbor being Northwestern? Or would like to be stuck in the corner of a small state and recruiting against Bama, Georgia, Clemson and VPI?
