Saw this topic on the Rivals main board and wanted to see what the consensus was for the 2015 Purdue football team. Rank the positions of the football team on a scale of Elite (Top 25), Above Average (Top 50), Average (Top 75), Below Average (Top 100), and Poor (Bottom 25+) and also give a season prediction win total using golf terminology (4 wins par, 5 wins birdie, etc). Here are my rankings assuming the opening day depth charts:
QB: Average - No wow factor with either guy from what we have seen
RB: Below Average - Could be better but unproven
WR: Average - Similar to Rb position
TE: Poor - Not much depth, no experience
OL: Above Average - Good depth, a lot of returning starters
DL: Below Average - Have some depth, but not a ton of experience
LB: Above Average - Starters are solid, but not a lot of depth if there are injuries
DB: Above Average - Most talented position IMO, good athletes and some depth
ST: Average - Griggs and Meadows are solid, but nothing spectacular
Bogey: 4-8
Par: 5-7
Birdie: 6-6
7+ wins: Start Building The East Deck!!
