Really similar to both. He may rebound slightly better. Kid can shoot with the best of them. He's taller than both other than that not much. I would think he is more competition for Benter and Colvin. IMO Cox's and Harris are interchangeable at the 1-2 slot but too small for the 3. IDK what they are listed at there is a clear difference with them and West.
Trust me he isn't coming to be a role player either. If he redshirts the competition doesn't get easier in 2026 IMO we land the 4th Reynolds in 2026 SR3 dropped 31 last night. And Luke Ertel is 100% legit I think he steps into Smith's role quite nicely. Other than a medical redshirt NO ONE would redshirt either of them. And IMO they both can start as freshmen. SR3 is a lottery pick waiting on his body to catch up he needs 20LBS.
You're way closer to this than I am so I'm probably talking out of my ass, but I'd be shocked if Reynolds ever becomes a lottery pick and I don't think it's great for Purdue if either starts as freshmen. Come back and find me in a few years if this ages poorly, it won't be the first time.

Just read on the other site that Reynolds' sisters are likely to transfer from Purdue and it's unclear how that will or will not impact his recruitment. It would certainly seem likely to take away that 'inside edge' for Purdue in his recruitment.
I think Reynolds has some competition looking at us since the 2026 class of guards knows that Smith and Loyer are gone. Talen Kinney, Brandon Bass Jr … plus a lot of other good looking candidates that we’ve offered. Gonna be fun to watch and hopefully we land some high end talent!
Because Purdue isn’t good/KG not a good coach? Can all 3 be together somewhere else? I assume yes. If that’s the case then id expect it to be a lot harder to get him. Maybe…Kinney may be our guy? On3 says we are leading but I don’t trust that site at all 😂

I don’t follow WBB at all, but yes, Purdue was bad, and it’s not uncommon for players, particularly those that are highly rated, to blame the coach versus looking at their own role in the team failure.
I honestly have been focused on SR3 watching most of his games. The thing about SR3 that stands out to me is his ability to create his own shot. He has a high release point on his shot and can elevate with the best of them makes his shot almost ungradable. I could write a few paragraphs on what he does well. Kinney trimmed his list down to 15 schools and Purdue was among them. IMO coach Cal. is a legend in Kentucky with a long line of NBA players in his bag. I don't see Purdue as his first choice. I think Kinney goes to Arkansas if not another SEC team. Recruits who have been convinced they are going to the league are less likely to choose Purdue. Recruits who have been convinced if they work their butts off, they will have a shot at the NBA are more likely to choose Purdue. Both top notch players I think SR3 is a better fit.
What about catchings? Wasn’t the portal closed when decommitted? Or don’t the rules apply to recruits?
He decommitted as a recruit so he could still commit somewhere else. He never was in the portal.
Portal is for guys that have already been in college and played at least one year of ball.

They have been. Our 7’4 Frosh/gameplan they were expecting would be implemented from the offseason went out the door 2 games into the season.

No way a 4th year, 50% 3pt shooting, any 14 ppg Loyer is losing out to an incoming Frosh or anyone else in that matter.
