. The Hawks played young against a team that is reaching a high level of maturity for the most part. I thought Iowa did a nice job slicing into the lane off of high ball screens but to many times they struggled to finish or keep the possession. That will change. Good luck this season.No, not at all. His recruiting is getting good. We could do a lot worse.
Thanks for the thoughts oh rival Mill. Looks like the Hawkeyes have some good young players....might take a few lumps this year, but I could see them handing out some reciprocity in a couple of years with a few more pieces added, including a couple of nice prospects coming in next year.

We need an elite level pg. Our true freshman has looked good at times but not sure about him long term at the point.

You had a helluva team last year,and I was there when they stormed back and ruined Rick Mounts return for us.I think Fran is ok,even though a lot of my fellow Boilermaker fans dont care for him.After living through 29 years of having Robert Montgomery Knight shoved up our posterior,I think I can tolerate any other Big Ten coach.I know this sounds nuts,but your football team did Purdue fans a favor by ruining the homecoming last fall because the next day,our coach was canned and Purdue football is on the way back.Looking forward to the basketball rematch in a few weeks.
I agree... I'm not sure why Iowa would want to get rid of him. I think he's done a great job, both recruiting and coaching. Iowa has a good young team & will struggle this year, but give them a year or 2 & they will be back.
If Fran coached another BIG team, I probably wouldn't like him either. I call him fiery Fran but where Iowa was before him was as low as the program has ever been. Most Hawk fans think he's doing it the right way, no shortcuts.

Yes,so far,so good.He has only been on the job 25 days,and I am excited for the future of Purdue football.
Iowa is going to beat some people and certainly capable of beating IU. Iowa is young and did a good job inside on Purdue's bigs. I expect Iowa to play Purdue the same way and hope Purdue doesn't shoot lights out the next time they play. Course Iowa likes to run and that is always IU's strength.
