Have to say she was the most intense person I dated in HS.
She is a true pioneer. Back in the day of Girls Athletic Association. Parents of girls in school athletics today owe her and a lot of others like her for their ease of participation today. The other person that left a mark on me and continues to be the spirit of BC today is Dick Atha.

Did you know that he played a few games with the Knicks?

and before BC LOL ... a feeder school to BC
'Morenci? Interesting year for these conversations since BC is celebrating 50 years although the Otterenci people feel like they were somehow wrongly forced to take the name two years earlier. All of us who went through the decade leading up to the final move were adversely affected in some way at one time or another.

the years '67 and '68 were ODD at best. I assume you know the history behind there being one school built??? --- Tikki E?????

geez, you must get frustrated with all us geezers
Nope. First and foremost, we are all here because we are Purdue fans. We should focus on what unites us. Second, every one is entitled to their opinion regardless of how I feel. I feel we gain empathy for our fellow man by listening to and understanding people from different backgrounds. I enjoy the stories from the fans on this site. The Iraq story on this thread was awesome.
I will say that there are some folks who I pray spent time teaching their kids and grandkids HOW to think rather than what to think. One day I will be a geezer and my world view may be "out of date" too. As long as my kids think for themselves, I will consider it a win even if they disagree with me.

WHOA ... well said. I taught critical thinking in the past ... NO KIDS knew how to question an opinion and be open minded to forming a real conclusion. YAY YOU!!!!!

Rather proud of this thread! 164 votes and some great discussion. All age groups well represented here.

Ahhculdee, that explains your volatile in game posts! I can say that with age that will change. We don’t become more mature, we just can’t keyboard as fast and give up!:p
I no longer even get on here until after the last second clicks off the scoreboard. Game is more enjoyable without such volatility.

Hell, if we lose I usually wait 24 hours to get on here. The overreaction is stunning and not my idea of a good time.
I'm the same way win or lose usually. We have a massive influx of over reacting posts as you said that call out specific players the coaches, the coaches parents, the cheerleaders, the security guards and so on.

It's ridiculously embarrassing at what gets left on here too.

67 years old. Father was a 1943 Pharmacy grad. I went to Wabash where I lived with Joe Sexson's cousin. We used to drive up and visit often. Any way I started attending Purdue games in the 50's.

To be fair, after a win it can be just as bad but in the opposite direction. I've been guilty of that myself, but both ends of the spectrum can make things a bit......much .... On here

Agree. After a loss I try to wait several days for the insanity to settle a bit. “Oh my god we lost! We can’t possibly survive! What will my kids eat? Will my wife still love a loser fan like me?”
I may be paraphrasing a bit but I think I’ve captured the essence of the board.;)
