Purdue had Tyler Trent. Nebraska had Jack Hoffman. UConn women had Abby Zittouns.

Although I'm not a fan of the UConn women's team, I'll be rooting for them this year. Special thanks go out to all the athletes at Purdue, Nebraska, UConn and elsewhere that understand there is more to life than just sports.

I don't mind saying, this story brought tears to this old man's eyes.
