Why don't we pound the football. This drives me crazy.
How many timeouts has Hazell left in back pocket this season. Unbelievable! You don't get points for the time outs you save. Unbelievable.
How many years will this staff take to figure out how to manage the clock?
Here's what I don't understand.
We have a stud running back. Ran for 150+ yards against a good defense. He has five carries in the first half.
We score on our first drive - obviously, the game plan wasn't terrible. But then we stop doing any of those plays.
Why the heck do I even bother with this team?!?

Even my wife thought that was obvious.By the way, that replay appeal was just awful. Pass was obviously tipped.
Because we are getting handled on the line of scrimmage. Why don't we pound the football. This drives me crazy.

The band is playing the Pink Panther theme song. Really?Dear God Hazell is a complete effing moron. You have 2 timeouts and a 3rd and 3 out near midfield with the cloc ticking under 40 seconds and you just let it go. Unreal
Not when we continue to run consistently. If we can't establish the run against a depleted Gopher squad then we're done. That's my measuring stick for this season, team and especially this staff. "Great line and 2 special young backs". I'm just an old high school coach but the game hasn't changed.Because we are getting handled on the line of scrimmage.

Either is unacceptable. He either doesn't know what he is doing, highly likely, or freezes under pressure.

Perhaps for $3mill a year we could get a coach that doesn't do either....Either is unacceptable.
Our line sucks. Backs are OK, not "special".Not when we continue to run consistently. If we can't establish the run against a depleted Gopher squad then we're done. On the second point - spot on.Blough will continue to get worse and lose confidence under Shoops. The only question is the rate of regression. Sindelair needs to run for the hills.
By the way, while I love efficiency, Mitch's value branding is dumb. It may work with parents, but kids actually decide where they are going to college. The value work is terrific, but it does not sell the school except with state senators voting on budget allocation matters.

Couldn't agree with you more. The "quotes" are signifying what we've been hearing all season. Our line sucks. Backs are OK, not "special".
Blough Stats at the half:
9-19 for 85 yds and INT
How anyone can not see the negative effect that John Shoop has when he "coaches" our qbs is beyond me.
And yes it's on Hazell too - but who the hello will come here now as OC with Coach Nike Vest having one foot out the door?
What a mess...
would like to know who's idea that was, on a positive note, the tackling is much better today.
Tackle, damn it!
It was the start of the half they weren't worn out our lb were in a terrible position.Announcers saying Purdue's worn out.
While that may be a bit dramatic, I've said again and again - Purdue's lack of depth is its biggest issue. This is where the subpar recruiting matters. We're "worn out" against Minnesota 2 minutes into the 3rd quarter.
worn out by a team that has way more people out on injuries. lazy out of shape poor coachingAnnouncers saying Purdue's worn out.
