I think going 3 and out time and time again and the opposing defense knowing you can't complete a pass would be pretty easy to defend. Our offense didn't do our defense any favors. Compared to the 2020 defense, we gave up roughly the same yardage and actually gave up less big plays. The difference was we didn't get the turnovers and our offense averaged almost 2 turnovers a game.
Hard to have a good defense when they are always on the field.
Rumors also out there that McCulley is headed for the portal, too. Saw that Reese Taylor punched out earlier today. Your team will be strangers next year. Not surprising after going 0fer.

In spite of the phony LEO garbage, the culture there sounds awful. Players fighting with other players, players fighting with coaches, coaches going at coaches, off field issues. Older players don’t want to hang around for yet another disaster of a season, especially when it’s clear the RevCoach LEO isn’t going to get it fixed.
Yeah and recent history shows they have a relatively stiff trigger pull on their firing mechanism so I expect it to take at least two more years of misery before they are shopping for another head coach.

Bill Mallory was a home run hire, but that was almost 40 years ago.
I really think they made the same type of hire with Terry Hoeppner. Unfortunately, he passed way too soon (fck cancer). Hoeppner was an IN native and would likely have been there as long as he liked, and I think he would have had that program on solid ground, not the shifting sand it's on now.
I agree about Mallory and Hoeppner.
But I don't think even a Mallory or Hoeppner will be able to get them out of the hole they will be in after Allen is done.
They keep jabbering about conference realignment because they're stuck in the B1G East. A couple more years under the LEO regime and I'm not sue even a realignment to the MAC will help them

They weren’t Big 10 level in any way. Were you referring to those goal posts? Cooper tried to cultivate options and had to stick with Indinia. McCulley is most likely doing the same thing, just like a number of your leavers have done over the last few months.
