Dakich

Maybe it was Dakich that posted this on IU Rivals..."I love Archie! I think it is not unreasonable to think we have a chance at a sweet 16 this year. I don't think we will, but think we can."

Folks, you can't make this up and you can't fix stupid. Amazing.

Here's Dan Dakich's Final Four prediction he gave for ESPN:

Dan Dakich - Michigan State, Duke
Arizona, Ohio State - Champion

He does know the game; however, he's in the business, so sometimes you have to take him with a grain of salt. I also get why people don't like him at all, but he's generally been favorable toward Matt Painter.

Ohio State? Did I miss something? I thought they were in rebuild mode.

I think they have the pieces to make some noise and be a bubble team. Do not have much depth or talent at guard though. Final four prediction is only from bias of his son now playing there.

On his show yesterday he went through his annual prediction for Purdue IU etc game by game. He had Purdue with 7 losses, one being at IU. I missed his IU picks.
In reference to the above FF picks, he did the same thing last year when his son played for Mich. He picked Mich and they did almost make it.

I think I saw on Twitter that he had Purdue with a better overall record but both with 12-6 conference records.

If one listens to Dakich long enough, you most likely will wind up with some form of irreversible brain damage. Two weeks after starting his gig @ 1070-The Fan in Indy , just before Crean's first year, DD did the first of his annual game-by-game IU b-ball picks. And what did this hoops genius come up with? TWELVE wins and,....AND he was "looking for a couple more". THAT Hoosier team, which may or may not have been able to beat the Tippecanoe County Rehabilitation Center's B-team, wound up a smooth 6-25. (1-17 B10).
