Any chance new coach retains Malone as the OC? Malone, Lester, and Freeman are worth keeping, but the rest need to go.

You just might lose a lot of our commits if Parker is let go and unless our new Coach can flip a lot of commits to other schools or bring in a ton of top end JUCO's the class could be a zero starting point!
We are not going to lose any commits. They likely had no other decent offers or they would not have signed on with Hazell
Why do people consistently praise Freeman? I know the linebackers have struggled with injuries but nothing they've ever done as a group has made me think he's ready for bigger things.
We've had one of the worst defenses in D1 for years and his linebackers are a big reason for it. Seems like an mediocre position coach to me and nothing more.

They can't recruit and don't have a coherent plan. Clean house. This is a total rebuild. 3-4 years to a winning season at best.
Don't think so. Hire the right guy and you can hit 6 wins in 2 years. Hire the wrong guy, just keep the toilet bowl swirling.
It might take less time than that. I'm not saying anyone will come in and turn it around in one season (leading to a pretty good 8-year run) like Tiller, but a team with a winning record 2 seasons from now is possible with high-end recruiters/coaches.
I was told by a recruits dad (and current member of the team) that Parker was very abrasive as a recruiter. Was not a good ambassador of Purdue on the trail.
Yes, it is one person's opinion, but that is all I have to go on, besides the fact that our recruiting has been very poor during DH2's reign.
I think the new coach should have the freedom to bring in all of their own personnel.
And I hope that Purdue will compensate the staff so that we aren't one of the lowest paid coaching staff's (not including HC) in the B1G, like we are now.

Exactly. I don't think we are that far from 6 wins. Not saying that should be our goal, however.
